Making My Dorm Awesome
 

Me and my roomate are going to put up a 32' flat screen tv, keep 100 beers in the fridge and we're getting a couple of chairs for people too, check them out.

No meleader2, that's what everyone says but - I left two 20 inch flat screen monitors and the 32 inch flat screen tv in my room over winter break, still there when I got back.

My roomate is getting the chairs. He was also talking about getting one of those sharper image massage chairs for the room. That would be great. You might be thinking he is all talk, but actually he is crazy, he just bought a 2nd monitor he didn't need and he came very close to buying a 3rd flat screen monitor.

Massage chair, WOW, now that is a good idea. Actually, it's pretty much the best college dorm accessory I've ever heard of. I need to start saving... or learn to play poker.

I'm not sure the chairs are a bad idea. I like the idea of instant furniture for a dorm room. I also fear for your TV though. 2 PC monitors are diffrerent than a giant TV which will attract alot of attention.

As a disclaimer - this is not something I've tried. This was the approach taken by the father of one of my college roommates, so any testing of the theory is a good 30 years old. That said, I think it's genius.

Put a tent in the middle of your room. Girls walk in, say "oh wow, a tent!" climb into it and lie down.

If you put in 100 beers, you will attract beer railbirds. If you want to encourage that, get a fridge with a glass door so you can see the beers

tried inflatable chairs once- they suck - too easy to slip/slide out of - great idea in theory, not in practice -

My roomate last year made his bed into a tent. When people walked in it was the first thing they saw and some of them hopped in there.
