Best music to while on Acid
 

I've been learning more and more how amazing some music is while on LSD. While almost everything is strictly superior, there are definitely some things that improve so much more than others and are beyond amazing.

Some that I have already noticed so far as awesome:
Radiohead (Hail to the Theif/Kid A (probably my overall favorite trip album right now)/Ok Computer
Infected Mushroom (I personally think this is mediocre sober but at least in the top 3 artists while tripping)
Pink Floyd
Ladytron
Flaming Lips
RjD2
Broken Social Scene
The Velvet Underground (mainly just VU & Nico)
Massive Attack
Sigur Ros

There's definitely a lot more that I could list that are also very good but those are at the top of the list right now. Some other people reccommend some other crazy music for tripping.

Sick, sick cd of techno/trance by Ritchie Hawtin. CD insert is a sheet of blotter paper if that gives you an idea. The album goes through a 'trip' of sorts that really gets your mind going.

I'm not a big techno fan but this is the perfect CD to get you going before you pop in the CDs you listed.

Haha! On my second trip my friends played We're Only In Iy For The Money and Joe's Garage and I've been a huge Zappa fan ever since. Hendrix is a good answer too.

Jerking off while frying is so incredibly wasteful and lame.

[censored] you should be doing while baking:

I) Visiting the ocean
II) Go camping w/ close friends
III) Modern Art Exhibits
IV) Take a shower
V) I used to have this sick ass OPTICAL ILLUSION DVD (I forget the name) but we baked hard on that and it was quite a visual experience.

If you're a meditative person, a close friend(s) and a great natural setting like the beach or the woods is all you really need to have a great mind-expanding time.

I've fried countless times and I used to sling liquid drops right out the vile. The most I took at once was something like 10-13 drops. It's the easiest drug to get burnt out on and shrooms are much better. IT's too easy to build tolerance to the drug.

If I were to beat off while frying I would probably have an overwhelming sense of isolation and self-pity.

Neither am I and this guys [censored] absolutely fukced my brainhole one time tripping. I believe it was the "Closer to the Edit" album put out under his real name, Richie Hawtin.

Dark Horse Candidate: Buena Vista Social Club by various old cuban guys. One of the best psychedelic experiences of my life happened in my old house in the woods in college, propelled by multiple hits of potent acid, and this CD on the song "Mermullo" for hours straight (the cd was on repeat, no we didnt notice).

Anyway, we all convinced ourselves the house was a boat it was the 1950's. After a while, I was feeling the house bobbing in the surf and the -5 degree wind chill out on the porch was a "wonderful tropical breeze".

While I'm a fan of metal and hip hop, I'd avoid any hardcore graphic metal or hip hop like 36 Mafia while tripping.
Cannibal Corpse would be out also.

..but to each is own.

I would of thought watching a horror movie on shrooms would be a really bad idea, but I watched Rob Zombie's "house of 1000 horrros" with friends on Thanksgiving night while sitting outside on a big porch. I've never laughed so hard in my life.

There was a reason people followed them on tour, saw them hundreds of times, etc., and it wasn't because they were snappy dressers. Grateful Dead + Acid = "real good time". But like MrKilla said, find some live stuff. LOTS of great free shows over at archive.org. They have a 30 year back catalog, which is intimidating, so feel free to PM me if you want a few suggestions.

well, I don't do acid anymore, (haven't for years) but the Lips would be awesome. I finally saw them live here in OKC (I'm from OK and haven't been a fan until recently, how pathetic was that?) Anyway, I think they would be awesome.

yeah, the best stuff to do on acid was either a: experience nature, or b: some silly activity if it was a fun/day trip. Things we did on "tripday" (which was Sunday for us, lol) included: water park, amusement park, mini-golf, and one a picnic with kites at a beauty of a park.
