A lesson in balling (instructors needed)
I am beginning to realize that I have a great distaste for doing things like laundry. I know ballers like Boosted J have difficulty finding time to eat, so I just assume trivial events like wiping and laundry fly out the window. So how do the big time ballers (em2) handle mundane activities?
|
Re: A lesson in balling (instructors needed)
Obviously their mothers do it.
|
Re: A lesson in balling (instructors needed)
Soooo what i'm collecting from this post is that you're offering ass-wiping services to the "big time ballers"?

Re: A lesson in balling (instructors needed)
there are plenty of laundry delivery services. i remember evan told me he uses one. but that is in nyc. depends on where you are. doing it yourself is pretty damn easy, but not baller. and since i never fold my clothes theyre always wrinkled, even less baller.

But is investing in a clothing wadrobe that consists only of wrinkle free shirts and pants baller? |
Re: A lesson in balling (instructors needed)
just buy new clothes all the time

Re: A lesson in balling (instructors needed)
if your bank roll is balla enough...get a manservant to throw out your clothes after one wear...then have him rebuy you the hottest new gear
...if not hire a maid who comes in weekly...if you have the facilities, laundry service should be included. Tip her well, and you'll be happy. 200 a week is about right. Otherwise, take ur mom to the movies and dinner 2x a month. She'll probably do the laundry with her sht. Also, pay some kid to do the lawn while you drive your motorcycle around the block popping wheelies and with your truck stereo blasting Jim Jones and Clipse so loud you can't hear your motor |
Re: A lesson in balling (instructors needed)
most laundramats will do your laundry for a nominal fee. if you're busy or live in an apt. complex, this is a far better deal than spending time and money on coin operated machinery. drop it off separated into colors and whites, pick it up a few days later.

Re: A lesson in balling (instructors needed)
When i was in 9th grade i went away for a few weeks. i had to do laundry. So my aunt finds out and calls me out of nowhere. I answer and she says, "Danza, it's your aunt. I hear you're doing your own laundry out there? What the [censored] is wrong with you? You couldn't find some dumb chick to do it for you? What kind of man are you?" It was funny.
My apartment has laundry service downstairs. pretty much all through college me and even my non-balla friends used laundry services. |

In Argentina, my maid will be coming Monday, Wednesday, Friday of every week and will be doing all of my laundry, dishes, and house cleaning for the whopping rate of $2/hr. I will also be having a private chef prepare my dinner Sunday-Thursday at the cost of $5 per meal plus grocery expenses (so maybe $10/meal at worst). Total cost per month of ~$160-200 for all my cleaning, laundry, dishes, and cooking. It is going to be awesome. |

It is amazing what this lifestyle has done (poker and money in relation to our perception about the value of $), and while I consider myself far from lazy I would rather pay for what I consider monotonous. |

You obviously don't live in the crappy areas. Recoleta and Palermo are both very, very nice areas. Also, your image appears to have some sort of problem. There are lots of latinos (so it appears in the crappy image quality) which comprise less than 3% of the population and are almost exclusively immigrants. [/ QUOTE ] Yes, and those people clean and cook for <5 dollars an hour. [/ QUOTE ] Exactly, I have no intention of mixing in with the poorest parts of the city. I do intend to take advantage of cheap things like $5/hr spanish lessons, $3 haircuts with shampoo, and whole host of cheap "adventure sports" type things to do. Way back on topic (when did this become the Argentina thread?)... what is cost for laundry pick-up in most major US cities. I'm assuming it is per pound and I remember hearing like $1-1.50 per pound, but I think that was dropping it off. Can I get them to come pick it up and how much is that? I had a washer/dryer in my last place in the states so I never bothered because it was easier to do it myself while playing than go somewhere to drop it off, but thinking back if someone would come get it, I would have preferred that. |

It's not the greatest thing in the world, but it will function decently as a bed. Then again, if you are paying to fly to Argentina, you can probably afford the hotel (airfare is pretty expensive). |
