Well - considering I had MY for places close I have to say yes.

Then with the resulting scrambling to find a new home that had tables as loose (which I never found) I have to say it had a dramatic impact on my life.

Add to the fact that I had $200 in a bonus at a BOSS Net never paid to me and one Prima site refuse to refund my $120 that was still in my account - yes!

My usual site(s) pulled out because of it. So yeah, it has affected me.

This is for US players only. The new law has not affected me at all. I am still playing as I did before. Just curious about everyone else. Thanks in advance.

Unless you are and have been playing at a non-US player site before the legislation how could this not have affected you?

Yea, im sure its affected everyone in some way. A better way to word it might be: Has the new legislation changed your life in any meaningful way?

Even those who didn't switch sites have been affected because of all the U.S. Party cusomters who are surfing around and looking for new sites on which to play.

It's pretty much affected everyone whether they are in the U.S. or not.

Now, whether or not it has affected you signficantly or not is another thing.

Can't believe I have benefitted from it. Was disappointed bc I liked ongame and even whined about it on the boards, knowing that most folks did not care for ongame. Went to full tilt and enjoying more success than I did at ongame. Very pleased with Full Tilt software, as well. Pleasant surprise.

The games have gotten tougher, so my winrate is lower, but at least I get to play poker.

It caused me to move to a site that I hate playing hold'em at,forcing me to get good at other games I was weak at.So yeah,I'd say it affected me in a very positive way.

why is this for US players only?

i think the games are a little tougher. because of this i have been trying to get a lot better. maybe this is a gift so then when the games are easier again i will have more of an edge.

id say in the SnGs i play ive lost around 20% of my skill edge since the bill was passed.

The law has affected me alot. I'm now taking crazier and riskier shots. Bankroll mangement is our the window. This is the due to the urge of trying to make as much money as I can before online poker is officialy gone. 20 buyins is my new rule whereas before it was 35 buyins.

I lost all my notes from Paradise, four years worth, and I no longer have a fish list.

My profits have gone waaaaaaay down as well.

Yea it has. Worked both ways, of course I dealt with the usual loss of sites, transfer hassles, etc. But it forced me to raise my playing levels and I have been rather successful. (went from .50/1 to 2/4 limit) Have actually made more money. Before I was building my bankroll but now I figure what the hell and will keep testing my abilities.

Re: Has the new law affected you at all?

I played PS, Party and Paradise before the bill was signed...Now I only play PS...

I also played Omaha PL, Omaha hi/lo PL and Holdem back in the old days (pre-online bill)....Now I only play Omaha hi PL..Ive found that's now a far superior option to the weak hi/lo stars games....

And NL holdem? Naaa..those games were great during THE BOOM..Now their so yesterdays game..

Omaha is where it's at for PL games these days...Got to be flexible...

I had to deal with a bunch of Party refuge pros at my SNGs for a while. But most of them have now decided SNGs suck and cash is the way to go. Meanwhile the Party fish continue to slowly trickle over. ev-wise I'd say it's a wash.
