Re: Running like **** please check some hands
Maybe should change the title to playing like [censored] btw

Re: Running like **** please check some hands
Hand 1- you're probably beat but it would take a very disciplined player to fold that. I probably put him on 98 and go broke with it too
Hand 2 - I'm not a big fan of the 3 bet preflop Hand 3 - I bet the river normally Hand 4 - Annoying as the min raise is, i find its too costly playing back at those sort of raises. |
Re: Running like **** please check some hands
Hand 1, yeah.
Hand 2, Terrible spewing. Hand 3, turn c/r is bad. bet river. Hand 4, see hand 2. |
Re: Running like **** please check some hands
Hand 1 is spew IMO I would just fold to his turn checkraise without reads. Your hand can't take that much heat and 98 is the only really likely two pair.
Hand 2 sucks IMO. Once he calls the flop he's willing to felt here a lot. Checking turn and pushing river makes it that much more likely he'll call you IMO since either he decided on the flop you dont have a queen or he has one himself. Hand 3 is whatever. The way you got there checking or betting both have merits. Hand 4 if you're raising raise less. It should have the same effect and it costs you less money. Make it like $140 or whatever. That board is super, super dry. He either has some sort of good hand that is calling/shoving or a weak hand that is folding anwyay. |
Re: Running like **** please check some hands
1) Sure. Most people would raise the flop the big hands, but some might call the flop to jack up turn. The double check is odd, though. I wish I could fold that, but I can't, I'm a station these days. 89-Q9.
2) Horrible spewing. I CB so much that going for a check-raise after being PFR with a monster is pointless. On a QQ2 board with a Q, you're just going to shut out anything that'd call down, IMO. After he calls the CR, you're shutting down. The river bet is bad, do you think you can rep a flush? He called flop CR and RRPF, why would he fold that riv? 3) I'm not check-raising turn. This is WA/WB and check-raising sucks. I like check-call turn and when he checks behind and the 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] falls I will probably block it. 4) [ QUOTE ] Villain is a loose probably losing player (like 38/12). FWIW he insta insta minraised flop, which made me thinking I could push him off a weak hand. [/ QUOTE ] There is a reason he is a losing loose player, bro, and it's not because he makes folds. You're spewing all over the place. Pick better spots to bluff. |
Re: Running like **** please check some hands
Thanks for the input guys.
Hand 1, I was very close to fold it since 67/JT are so likely but I guess it's not a real leak. He showed JT btw Hand 2 I agree is def spew and I hate it, as someone mentioned his flop call means he will almost always felt it Hand 3 is definitely not standard, I just thought that betting this turn would fold out all the hands I beat. On the river he instapushed, and I called. Spew? Hand 4 yep I guess it's not that good against that kind of player Wow I suck |
Re: Running like **** please check some hands
imo
hand 1 standard hand 2 give up once he calls flop hand 3 no need to check raise an already escalated pot. you can bet 2/3 pot on turn and river and have most of his stack anyway. hand 4 ive learnt recently no to bother 3 bet bluffing people, it really doesnt work. bet and raise as a bluff lots, but 3 betting so rarely works and is costly. |
Re: Running like **** please check some hands
oh and btw i hadnt read any of the responses.
|
Re: Running like **** please check some hands
Hand 1: ouch sure looks like JT but meh I wouldn't fold, hope he turned a fd + gutter or somethin :/
Hand 2: ewwww. I'd bet the flop and be done with it. Your line is so damn weird AK will probably look you up. Hand 3: I'd open shove river. I think you almost always have the best hand but that he will check behind pretty often. Hand 4: I just give it up on the flop almost always. |
Re: Running like **** please check some hands
Running at 30/26 obviously creates many more tough spots and requires decent reading at times.
Either slow down a little and think your hands through better, or temporarily drop about 5 off your stats (25/21), to avoid as many tough decisions. |
Re: Running like **** please check some hands
hey cts,
In hand 3, do you often get called by TT-QQ when openpushing river? Cuz I think youre right, ppl are definitely inclined to make those calls against aggressive players. Gregg, yeah it seems like its a combination of running bad, making stupid bluffs and having really bad timing. I'll experiment a little and see what happens |
Re: Running like **** please check some hands
1, I can't find the fold without a solid read that the dude is very passive normaly
2, ? reraise a UTG raiser with A6 in the blind, and take a totaly unbelivable line the rest of the hand, meh this sux. 3, I bet or check-call turn and think its >>> check-raise, this hand I valuebet river and let him pay of with KQ KJ or whatever 4, lol hate it, donks love to minraise with strong hands and he isnt folding weak made hands cause he is a donk, this is extremly spewy without a read on him that says minraise=nothing |
Re: Running like **** please check some hands
Hand 4 really ain't so bad but you don't have to re-raise nearly as much as you did
|
Re: Running like **** please check some hands
Does anyone else fold Hand 2 preflop? I feel like you're dominated too often by an UTG raise from a TAG, and you're OOP. If the villian was the button I can see the re-raise, but I wouldn't even bother playing this hand here. And I play like 28/22.
Also, is calling the flop raise correct in Hand 4? |
Re: Running like **** please check some hands
Hand1: meh, I guess you can't fold it. If deeper I'd probably just call turn
Hand2: It looks like you're bluffing. Why would you ever c/r this flop w/ JJ+/Qx ?? Turn/river didn't change anything either so your hand looks like what it is. Hand3: Probably bet/push riv. Hand4: 3bet a little less imo, like 144 or 133 or something. Obviously not every time but some of the time. |

Does anyone else fold Hand 2 preflop? [/ QUOTE ] I hope so. Well, actually I don't, but I would |
Re: Running like **** please check some hands
Hand 1: Standard
Hand 2: Eww, I'd lead flop, if I CRed and it failed I give up, if you want to continue bluffing shove turn > shove river Hand 3: Bet/shove turn, failing that shove river. Hand 4: Meh hard to tell, I usually want a read on what a minraise means before I do this, but its not horrible or anything. Actually like Parlay said in hand 4 raise less, I make it 150 if I pull this but you can get away with as little as 125 probably. |
Re: Running like **** please check some hands
[ QUOTE ]
Hand 3 is definitely not standard, I just thought that betting this turn would fold out all the hands I beat. On the river he instapushed, and I called. Spew? [/ QUOTE ] weird... i would check turn here alot since WA/WB and when we are WA, unless ur image is terrible, they are folding turn bet, but calling river VB... im not sure on the shove call cause i doubt i'd ever check this river.. odd spot... |
