Easy push as the shortest stack.

I was wondering how much I gain EV by letting the donks donk this hand up?

[/ QUOTE ] Karp, This is a perfectly valid question with plenty of math and intellectual stuff to be performed/discussed by players more experienced than me and people smarter than me. For my part: OMFG YOU BUNNY RABBIT NIT WILL YOU GROW A PAIR OF FRIGGIN' BALLS AND MAKE ABOUT THE EZ'IEST PUSH YOU WILL EVER MAKE IN YOUR WHOLE LIFE WITHOUT AK,QQ+. SERIOUSLY DUDE, WHAT THE HELL MAN UP ALREADY. That is all for now. I hope I got my point across well. Chicken Dumplings, Snarf |

I dont like pushing at all. Id prefer flat calling. Chance of someone busting this hand is too great to go crazy IMO.

I was wondering how much I gain EV by letting the donks donk this hand up? [/ QUOTE ] Depends on the likelihood of one of them busting on the hand. And given the description of their play and the large pot, it's probably a pretty strong chance. If you decide to not push though are you then folding to the minraise getting 7-1 w/ TT? |

just call, hell you are getting good odds to flop a set. set it or forget it, let them donk it up on the flop.

I was wondering how much I gain EV by letting the donks donk this hand up? [/ QUOTE ] My thought would be not as much as you gain by pushing. If there was another shorty involved, maybe a different story. Probably not, but maybe. But with the three stacks involved, a significant number of chips have to change hands to affect your position at all. You gain 8% equity by ICM if you push and everybody folds. Even if you're called, you might be a favourite to double up (and you gain 14%+). Assuming nobody busts on the hand, you can gain like 3-5% equity, even if two stacks drop below yours. Given the stack sizes, even with aggressive players (maybe especially with agressive players, if you're not going to get many chances to steal), you're going to need to win a hand. How many better hands than TT are you going to get? |
Re: $22s - The most interesting hand in teh STTf history. Discuss. Hol
ideally you would want to isolate the lag here, but pushing doesnt guarantee that if the other two players are somewhat loose, also. so call, and push any non scary flop. also to consider, other players are probably holding shared cards, so pushing preflop isn't that bad, and if only one overcard flops that isn't too scary either.

NH
It seems to me that if the shortest stack bubble, you gain about 8% EV by folding. Could that be right? Also open pushing TT from UTG with your stack is unexploitable. With those extra chips in the pot from the callers, it gets only better, but probably never as good as 8%. Or am I off here? If I'm not off, the question really is how often you can expect someone going broke when folding? |

check push all in

Re: $22s - The most interesting hand in teh STTf history. Discuss. Hol
call, getting 7:1 plus implied odds for set value. Occasionally push flops with all cards lower than T, but play conservatively.
Flop of J44, check, if raiser bets, another pushes, super easy fold obv. Flop of 944, same. Flop of 568, check, two all in by the time it gets to me, fold. I think your odds pf and deep enoughs stack make this an easy call. |
