I believe the fold was correct. What I am really wondering is do you even raise here? Is this mabey a push?

Def. not a push and most likely a fold here in the UTG+1 spot. I guess you could limp. But I hate that really. Sometimes I make this 125/150 on PS but it's because we have more chips. Here I think the right play is fold. You're raising into some mighty big stacks there.

You want to push 17bb UTG+1 with AQo???? This would be very very bad. You have so much more play than that.

Pushing with 17BB is crappy.

OP, In this spot sometimes I raise like you did and sometimes I fold. Probably something like a 35/65 mixture

What about folding in this spot? I have been folding this hand more frequently of late in this type of spot from this position at the table, I'd say 70%. Is this bad?

I would never fold this preflop, that's for sure. I think the value of raising this to 150 is significant enough in my experience to call folding preflop "bad". That said, if you misplay the hand frequently preflop after the raise or aren't comfortable playing this hand out on the flop, possibly out of position, then folding preflop is probably not bad in an immediate sense but something you should work to improve on.

I don't fold to most pushes once I've raised it to 150, but I'm happy to ditch the hand against suspicious action. You definitely will make money raising to 150 if you've got the experience to make the right sort of decision if you get a tricky spot.

You're like completely backwards here. Just because something seems uncomfortable to you does not make it a bad play.

My little &gt; list goes like this: Standard Raise &gt; Fold &gt; Push &gt; Limp.
