Live Bluffs-Which Ones Worked

1) 50/100 5 handed 20k effective stacks
Villian is a really good tricky player and has been raising often in the sb when folded around. He probably views me as the same.

Folded to villian who raises to 400 in the sb and I call in the bb with 45s
flop: 2 3 10 rainbow and I call 600
turn q completing the rainbow and villian bets 1100 and I raise to 3300. Villian calls 2200
River 8 villian checks and I bet 5800 into a 8600 pot

2) 20/40 9 handed 13k effective stacks
First time playing with villian but I know he is fairly tight player. I'm not sure what my image is to him.

I open utg for 160 with 78s (standard raise) he calls on the button and one of the blinds call.
flop 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]pot:520 I bet 400 and just villian calls
turn K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] giving me a flush draw
pot: 1300 and I check villian bets 900 and I checkraise to 3200 villian thinks for a bit and calls 2300
River offsuit 10 pot: 7700
Villian has about 9k left and I bet 6000

3) 50/100 9 handed 25k effective stacks
Villian and I have extensive history and both make moves. He is a really good player who makes big calls/laydowns. Villian raises alot including out of the blinds.

folded to villian who makes it 400 out of sb and I call with A3s in the bb, mp folds
flop: 5 Q Q rainbow pot: 800 Villian bets 500, I call
turn 9 making a flush draw.
pot: 1800 and villian checks and I bet 1000, villian checkraises to 2800 and I reraise to 6400 villian calls
river blank. Villian checks and I bet 11000 into a 14600 pot

i like hand 1... i'd like hand 3 a little more if you shoved river. I dont see hand 2 being +ev given info, and LIVE.

Re: Live Bluffs-Which Ones Worked

I agree with durr, i think in hand one opponent might have an overpair or MAYBE hit the queen on turn with aq.... He might fold those to your bet.

Hand two i dont see him folding, and hand three opponent most probably has a queen and if he is aware that u have been putting on many moves he is going to call

where were you playing btw? i dont know too many casinos which would have a live 50/100 nine handed being dealt at the moment... not even bellagio

1) Didn't work, but I like it.
2) Worked. I understand that you can check for the free card or raise if he bets here, but I'm not sure I like this as well as a 2nd barrel. Even though I imagine this play worked. The only way you get called is if he has top 2 or better. (Although, this is extremely possible. I still think it worked for some reason.)
3) Didn't work. I was hoping you'd take the free card on the turn, but when you don't, I like the reraise. Have you noticed the plays I like best I think didn't work? I think it's based on your description of opponents.

hand 3 is serious spewage.

I think hand 2 is the one that worked.

1 worked, 2 and 3 didn't - and even if they did seem like pretty transparent plays, especially #2 C/R turn.

I like hand one, the other two not so much.

I gotta agree with most of the others. I like hand one, not hand two and probably not hand three.

I agree, these hands are all very much alike... You make a big raise on the turn the call and the board doesn't change much on the river... People don't really like to call the big turn raise unless they're gonna call the river...
