5/10 vs 10/20 at Stars

the % of players seeing the flop is just a tick lower at 10/20, and the pfr only 1.5% higher. but moreoever, it seems there are ALOT fewer 25/18/2.5 type players at 20.

consider this, and the less rake at 20, and 5/10 seems like a waste of time. thoughts?

Depends on size of your roll and comfort factors at the limits more than anything.

joker,

stars 10/20 is a little bit tougher than stars 5/10. there may be less 25/18/2 players specifically, but there are probably more 28/20 and 35/25 players who can actually interfere with a good seat. ie. its fine if i have two 25/18 players to my left and a 40/10 player to my right, but if i have two 35/25 decent postflop players to my left with that fish, i probably want to find a new seat if i start running poorly right off the bat.

that said, just move up if you have the roll.it isn't that much different.

...or don't because i'd rather not see you there?

i'm probably just running good. would you agree though, that they are a little less tricky/aggressive than the party 10/20 game of a few months ago?

i never played at party above 2/4 or something, so i don't know. stars 10/20 plays like absolute 3/6 or 5/10

What's 25/18/2.5 type player?
Is that some kind of poker tracker stat?

I got those things mean.
BTW, are there any similiar stats of vpip in poker office?
I can't understand how to use that stat...

I don't know poker office -- weird name. VP$P is basically a measure of % of hands opponent plays, i.e., loose, tight, somewhere in between.

For what it's worth I find there is almost no difference between the two games. However, table to table, the games can be crazily different. FWIW.

Wow, it's hard for me to imagine the players at 10/20 can be as bad as the ones at 5/10. I haven't ventured into that game to speak of. Don't have the roll right now.

don't know why this thread resurfaced, but i think my statement about there being less tags/nits at 10/20 is still certainly true.
