Simple call or fold
 

Villan in this hand isnt great but hes not horrible. My notes says he makes stupid obviously slightly more than pot bluffs on the river when I check to him. Just respond with a call or fold plz, ill understand why you think each.

what are all you guys putting him on? straight flush draws c/r flop, so does KQ (and if KQ doesnt, 99 doesn't, which would also push this river)

the most realistic hand we lose to is KT and it would be the case T. the board makes a 4 straight so villain can definitely be shoving a big flush.

yeah he could easily be value shoving nut flush here.

Turn king, hero checks. This makes villain think it's impossible you are full or have trips. So when he rivers his flush, he thinks there's no way you are full, and thinks his flush (or 99) is best. Only problem is his flush might be AsJs or Js9s.

Fold. He is not 'value shoving the nut flush'.

To be sure, pay attention to timing. A quick push means only that A) he planned to 3 bet bluff all in, or B) he has the nuts.

If he took his time it could be anything, but still a pretty clear fold IMO. He'd have to be a pretty sick player to try to be trying to bluff you off a flush or small boat here. Most people lack the guts/ hand reading skills to try that.

hes not 2+2 so this could be wrong. He may assume id slowplay if I filled up on the turn, I dunno.

What are your exact call odds? I'd say anything worse than 2:1, its a fold, anything better, its a call.

Seems like he would really have to suck to push anything worse than a boat though.

Would you say he 'really sucks' 33% of the time or less? I think he really sucks (or is getting goofy) a lot less than that, more like 15%. Without ~6:1 odds, it's a fold. I don't care what the exact odds are here, they're not close to 6:1. Clear fold.

im getting about 2-1, its pretty close to a pot sized push. And my read at the time was he would likely CR KQ on the flop. I hadnt seen him do that per se, but he just seemed like that type of player.

180bb's jeez...he'd have to be pretty bad to push a flush here. i just don't know why anyone would play a made hand slow on the flop/turn but it happens all the time, i fold this.

the only feasible way i can see you being ahead is if he ptus you on a straight or flush making a thin value raise and wants to push you off it, and i can see someone like you described doing this.

KTs is impossible to make given the exposed cards. your read is that he can't have KQ. if he doesn't have KQ he probably doesn't have 999. he would've played AJss and J9ss faster on the flop right (both are straight flushes now)? i assume he's not bad enough to call K9s prelfop. those are the only hands that beat you. you're getting laid odds, so you don't have to be that sure in your read, though to me it seems like a reliable one. so call

fold without a doubt. he can see your showing uber strength yet he re-strengths it back again. why? becuase he has you beat.
