Heroes 11-13
Might as well make a thread. 20 minutes in this episode is awesome.
|
Re: Heroes 11-13
Are they airing three episodes today?
|
Re: Heroes 11-13
I watch this show sporadically. Very cool episode.
Quick question... They just showed the scene where psychic policeman is interviewing radioactive Ted. Both of them have identical marks on their necks. Have we seen that mark on any of the other heros? |

Re: Heroes 11-13
its just two lines, different from the s.
how come when the indian kid is in india, they talk english, but when the japanese guys were in japan, everyone talked in japanese |
Re: Heroes 11-13
Well, people can't complain about this episode being boring. So much in this episode, they may have put in too much IMO.
|
Re: Heroes 11-13
I can not wait for next week. It should be really damn good.

Re: Heroes 11-13
Wow, I loved all the other episodes but this one was just too slow. Not enough meat for me to chew on, I was getting antsy 10 minutes in.
As for the marks on the necks, it's only on the abductees AFAIK. This is the only skippable episode so far. |

ZOMG next episode! |
Re: Heroes 11-13
Also, does anyone know where the cop lives? Is it TX? Is he going to be involved in the next critical episode? Or is he on a separate track?
|
Re: Heroes 11-13
No sarcasm at all, I must have missed something because I was not impressed at all.
Gimme more Niki and the Wright brothers. Hiro rocked as usual. |
Re: Heroes 11-13
Dude, if you didn't like this, you should be banished from these threads. Go beat it to pictures of Niki on teh intarweb instead.
This is, like, the first episode where stuff actually happened, where we actually learn meaningful things, and where Suresh was not 100% a waste of time. |
Re: Heroes 11-13
can someone tell me what happens at the end? my DVR cut out during mohinder's voiceover (after claire is seen painting the homecoming banner)
and can someone tell me what the preview for next episode is? thanks! |
Re: Heroes 11-13
Yeah, NBC seems to be doing this every week now. You'll have to extend your DVR's recording by 5 min.
As for what you missed, it's important, and it's well below for people who don't want to read it yet ******************* The painter starts painting after getting doped up. Mohinder reveals a file on the kid w/ the soccer ball hidden in his father's drawer, and back at the diner, we see Hiro in the pic of the waitress on her birthday w/ the cake on the wall. |
Re: Heroes 11-13
oh awesome dude... thanks!
what about next week's ep? |
Re: Heroes 11-13
OK, if you want that, we didn't see a whole lot, but.....
************************** We mostly just get a few shots flashed at us. I believe we saw Sylar telekinetically pushing the cheerleader against a wall. We see her bloodied and scared, but still alive and ticking. We see two dark figures falling off a roof at night. We saw Nathan Petrelli, but I have no idea how he gets there so quickly. The flight from TX to NY is not short (unless he grabs his bro, perhaps...), so we'll have to see. If there's anything more that's important, I'm sure someone will chime in. |

can someone tell me what happens at the end? my DVR cut out during mohinder's voiceover (after claire is seen painting the homecoming banner) [/ QUOTE ] from that point forward, Mohinder's voice-over: "You can run far, you can take your small precautions, but have you really gotten away? Can you ever escape? Or is the truth that you don't have the strength or cunning to hide from destiny? That the world is not small ... you are. And Fate can find you anywhere." is spoken over scenes of - Issac painting a scene of Hiro and Ando looking at a bloodied 'Homecoming' banner - Claire painting that banner with HRG looking on, seemingly reflecitng upon the fate that is supposed to befall his child - Ando pacing back and forth in the diner, still waiting for Hiro to return, while the camera zooms in on a photo on the diner's bulletin board that features Hiro standing next to the now-dead waitress at her birthday party ... a photo that previously did not include Hiro. EDIT: ok, i feel dumb for typing all that out and being second. |

thanks guys... i went from hating the pilot to absolutely loving this show... when hiro decides to use his powers and go back and save the waitress - that was [censored] awesome.

Also, I'm pretty sure that those dark figures falling (floating down?) off the roof are Sylar and Peter Petrelli. |

peter's gonna absorb sylar's power!

peter's gonna absorb sylar's power! [/ QUOTE ] and this is why i'm halfway nervous about how they pull off next week's episode. peter meeting sylar should by all means lead to an epic battle between the two of them but a) i'm skeptical that will be what occurs and b) i'm worried that the explanation for why it doesn't happen will be a weak one. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, this next episode is really what is going to define the show. If it's well done, this show could rise to be the best on TV. If it sucks, it'll sink into likely oblivion. I'm nervous and excited. However, we've been lead to know that this was going to go down. We know Petrelli will be there. We know Sylar is an ultimate badass. Hiro could probably take Sylar, but he might not be granted the 2-3 seconds he needs to freeze time and knife him or something. Petrelli's gotta step up and kick some ass. But FWIW, my prediction is that he won't be skilled enough and will be saved by the other heroes. Oooh, unless he learns to absorb multiple powers at the same time. Edit: Eh, I guess really, Sylar has to get away. We just don't have another villain (other than Radioactive Man, and he's debatable) to fight for the 2nd half of the season, esp. since Dad has gone good, as I expected. |
Re: Heroes 11-13
I'm watching it right now. Holy crap! I love this show!! So much coming out...pieces of the puzzle. I absolutely love it.

Re: Heroes 11-13
they wont kill hiro off, because they'll just be signing their cancellation if they do.
this episode was awesome |

There have been no indication of any bombs or anything, and they are already playing up the terrorist angle. |

It'll just take him too much time to figure out he needs to get to TX and then actually get there since Dad said that homecoming was the next day. He'll likely be important for tracking down Sylar after he gets away. |
Re: Heroes 11-13
I was a bit disappointed in how they established that HRG was actually a good guy. They spend all this time building up ambiguity, and now it's just, "Oh, btw, he's actually a good guy."

[/ QUOTE ] Is it really that clear that HRG is a "good guy". I get the fact that he cares about Claire and will do anything to protect her and that he's trying to convince Isaac that he's a good guy but do "good guys" go around kidnapping people? Do "good guys" go around threatening pepople who resist getting someone hooked on heroin again? I think the jury is still out on HRG's true agenda. And are we sure that it was Sylar that killed Claire's biological parents? The way I heard that scene, HRG/HRG's people were the cause of their demise (i.e. Claire's parents misinterpreted HRG's supposedly benevolent motives). I'm not yet convinced HRG was telling the truth about how things really went down. |
Re: Heroes 11-13
No, Dad is not all good. He's very Machiavellian, but he seems to be for the most part a hero tracker and studier, not a villain. It's almost certain he's not responsible for teh nuke.

Re: Heroes 11-13
This show is like a huge long blow job without any finish. This latest episode is good, but I just wish that there was more too it and that it didn't just stop and delay our climax (pun intended).

[/ QUOTE ] I actually like the way this series takes its time ... it's a refreshing change from other shows that try to introduce, flesh out, and resolve significant conflicts within the span of 44 minutes every week. that said, this puts a greater onus on the show's writers for a big payoff at the end. |
