Ed Miller Small Stakes NL Book

Any update on an estimated release date?

I think the last I heard was early 2007.

I didn'tt think the Skalansky-Miller book was worth the paper it was printed on. How is this one going to be different? And yes I did go to that website but I didn't see anything about this book.

I take it back. It's not fair to say it's not worth the paper it's printed on but I expected a lot more. I liked LGB a lot better will this new book be more like that one?

Anyone? It's a 2+2 book right?

Hi,

I estimate submission to Mason by the end of December -- for real this time.

Part of the delay is we hired a professional editor and are having several people review the text. That takes time on the back-and-forth and rewriting. The other part is all writing takes longer than you think.

This statement is ridiculous. NLHETAP is one of the best poker books ever.

What if we go to cheaper paper for the next printing. Would that make a difference?

That has to be the worst web design I have ever seen. Ever.

You say you were expecting more. what was it you were expecting? To make a statement like that would suggest you knew most of what the book contained, and are looking for something far deeper for your abilities. Is this true?

As for LGB...I agree it is a great book, but I would by no means say it is superior to NLHTP. Just curious why you think this?

My guess is that as you gain more experience playing, your opinion will change.

Matt, Thanks for taking the time and effort to have this proof-read so much.

I think the amount of typos in other recent 2+2 publications could have been prevented and they're kind of aggrevating to nitty readers like me.

Thanks as well for writing the book in the first place. Looking forward to it.

I haven't read LGB.

The books will be hands-on and should lead to immediate and concrete changes in your play.

If you submit it to Mason in december, when do you expect the book to be released?

I think it's worth noting that Matt and I are the lead authors of this project, so it's somewhat inaccurate to compare our book to any previous 2+2 book (since we haven't written any others!)...Ed's an absolutely incredible writer and editor - and his role on this project has been primarily editing/reorganizing/etc.....

Matt and I are definitely products and fixtures of the great high-level discussion that has taken place on these strategy forums....feel free to check out some of the posts in the HSNL archives....

Is this even possible? I don't know enough about NL to officially call BS but definitely leaning in that direction.

I wouldn't call it sarcasm, more like too much sales grease (or rather low quality sales grease ... still I can't wait for the book either, while perhaps worth the paper it's written on, NLTAP was nowhere near the nuts) ... and fwiw a HSNL poster has long ago shown that 25NL can be beaten for 100BB/100

Think parchment. We can bury one in the Negev for someone to find 2000 years later...
