alright, I'm pulling out of the gas station just now, some person overshoots their pump and starts backing up carelessly. I slam my horn for about 7 straight seconds, doesn't matter, this person backs right into me...[censored] mother [censored], I'm not happy. Eitherway, guess the driver that hit me and pick the worst type of driver?

I voted asian/asian...I live in Richmond BC, and for anyone who's been here, its basically mini-china town. I can't stand all the chinese drivers, its dangerous. I'm asian, so don't call me racist, its just that too many of them suck and are clueless

The worst type of driver is the person who is either so clueless or inconsiderate so as not make MINOR adjustments in their driving to make everything go smoother. Examples:
1. Empty highway. You're merging onto the road and some MF'er refuses to get over one lane to ease things...you either have to speed up or slow down to get on...totally needless.

2. 65 speed limit. Guy in the right lane is doing 65; guy passing is doing 65.05 on cruise control. Despite the fact you're obviously waiting for him to pass, he refuses to use the accelerator to expedite things.

3. Waiting to turn left (no arrow) at a busy intersection. Guy in front (also turning left) refuses to either anticipate the light or enter the intersection and turn left as the light turns red; thus you sit for several cycles until there's no more opposing traffic, if ever.

I have had these happen several times and am unable to determine if such people are aware of their obnoxiousness.

Anywho, I noticed that asians are completely oblivious to their surroundings, including blaring your horn.

I have seen the absolute worst driver of all time.

Asian. Woman. On her restricted licence (must've been 17-20yo). Driving a Volvo. On a cell.

I take the cake.

She also had two tissues hanging from her nose. Perhaps she was trying to attract even more attention to herself.

That's who hit me. I was stopped in line waiting to exit a parking lot. She backed into the STATIONARY GIANT CONVERSION VAN I was driving. I honked multiple times prior to impact.

If she had either glanced behind her or in her rearview mirror she would have literally seen nothing but the vehicle I was driving.

I answered asain lady to number one but am quite uncertain, however #2 is asain lady and none of the other answers are really even close. Asain ladies drive worse then most people with any sort of mental/physical handicap imo.

When I used to take the bus, I would see numerous guys on their cell phone/blackberry/whatever talking, emailing, reading reports, all kinds of crap, not paying any attention to where they're going.

Worst kind of driver is anybody slow, or who doesn't know how to friggin turn left through oncoming traffic. Pretty much any woman on the road during rush hour fits this description.

On a slightly different line, I heard a survey was carried out saying middle-aged black women are the most impatient and aggressive drivers...i.e. the worst road rage sufferers.

From my own person experience, it's definitely the case.

My car was hit once, it was parked in front of my house on the sidewalk, and it was totaled, at 11am in the middle of a summer day. I wake up and hear a large crash but just think its someone doing yardwork and then about a minute later i hear a pounding on my front door.
I go downstairs and theres this 16 year old girl crying her head off (i was 19 at the time) wearing a little white tank top and really really short shorts with high knee socks. she tells me how sorry she is for hitting my car, im still half asleep and stroll outside and see my car (it was new to me, only had it for 2 weeks) absolutely crushed almost in half by this girls large brand new expedition. of course her car just barely looks like it was damaged.
the police show up and she gives them this story of what happened "well officer i went down the big hill and then my little dog who was sitting in my lap started licking my face and i got distracted and must have not realized i wasnt hitting the brake to slow down, im so sorry"
I look at her car and see a little white dog wagging its [censored] tail at me with its tongue out happy that he just pissed me off. Her mom shows up and absolutely screams at her daughter and explains to me that her daughter had just gotten her license 3 days ago.
Sorry for the rant, but these types of things piss me off.

Please die. The onus of adjustment is on the car that is merging, 100% of the time. Degree of freeway traffic is completely irrelevant. People who are entering a freeway and expect the existing traffic to adjust for them should be banned from ever driving.

Edit: If it's easy enough, I will move over to accomodate the merger, but that's more for my own benefit, and I am far from obligated to do so.

I think you missed the point: in none of the three examples I gave is the driver OBLIGATED to do anything; it's common courtesy. Kinda like holding a door for someone with three bags of groceries: a minor inconvenience for me avoids a moderate inconvienience for someone else. When someone refuses to switch lanes to ease the process, they're saying either, "The convienience of another person is insufficiently important for me to alter my behavior a trivial amount," or "I'm too clueless to realize that my behavior has any impact on those around me."

Another pet peeve: people who can't grasp the concept that "yield sign" =/= "stop sign."

Back in '99, 2 days after I purchased a brand new PathFinder, I pulled into a Taco Bell drive-thru for a little grub.

Some young dude in a Celica was in front of me at the speaker ordering when all of a sudden, the little punk decides that he doesn't want Taco Bell anymore.

Dude throws it in reverse and punches it....right into my front end.

Needless to say, I was a little pissed. I think this was best displayed by the way I jumped out of my car and started towards him to ring his [censored] neck.

I've never seen a white kid turn so white.

Turns out that instead of death, he chose to roll up his windows, lock his doors, call mommy and (literally) start crying. Funniest [censored] thing I've seen in my life (or at least that day).

$700 for the dent that I decided not to fix becuase I like the way the front of my truck now has a 'don't [censored] with me dent'.

Once I parked somewhere in my compact car and even remarked to myself, "Boy, was that a perfect parking job? Right in the middle of the spot."

Needless to say, I came out of the store and there was a soccer mom's SUV on my left, parked at a 30 degree angle, so close to me that I had to climb in the passenger side. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Meh, maybe I overreacted because I'm used to people merging right into me without even looking. So you have a point. In retrospect, "Please die" was unwarranted. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
