88 resqueezed by 2+2er

CO is 2+2er. We don't have a whole lot of history, but he knows I'm a 2+2er that squeezes with a wide range. Assume MP is a typical bad player. 100bb effective stacks.

MP opens to $7, CO calls, I make it $35 on the button, folded back to CO who shoves.

Not trying to sway votes to call, but looks like I'm only dominated by TT/99 and am either a slight fav or am dominating every thing else, no? What's your reasoning for easy fold?

I like to 4-bet AA/KK all in.

I don't mind a call here.

surely this is a perfect reason to make this play with AA/KK?

I'm not saying it's definitely his range, but the typical 2+2er reraises JJ+ close to 100% of the time? Like I said, we don't have much history, but he's a 2+2 20/15 TAG.

Yeah, when hero is running over the table, this is an excellent way to trap him. But if OP just squeezes some % of the time, it's a very risky play that probably losses a lot of value.

So I guess it depends on how often you've been squeezing in these situations.

I don't mind a call, but I'd fold, just because I hate high variance plays where the EV is unclear.

I'd make this play with a big pair if you were habitually 3-betting/squeezing light. Any way, if you really think he will do this with any pair/AK or worse then it's a call.

152,395,056 games 0.453 secs 336,412,927 games/sec

Board:
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 50.9232 % 50.06% 00.86% { 8d8h }
Hand 2: 49.0768 % 48.22% 00.86% { 22+, AKs, AKo }

But, in reality his range is probably more towards pairs > 88/AK. One thing that always gets me is that people aren't making moves as much as I think they are. Even decent/solid 2+2er's.

I make plays like this exactly in this situation when I know there's an OOP player who likes to squeeze too often. Usually it's bad LAGs instead of 2p2s, but if I see them squeeze more than once a session I try to lay this trap.

This can definitely be AA/KK. I think these hands are a lot more likely than AK or KQs. You are either coinflipping or way behind, and I don't think getting slightly better than 2:1 is enough to enter that situation when there are so many pairs in his range. If CO was bad I might call, but he's not so I think it's a pretty easy fold.

Yeah a fair amount, but it's tough for me to think he would get tricky enough to flat call a big pair cuz he's counting on me squeezing, without a whole lot of history.

Fold please and itsn ot close. Hes got AA-99 and AK and maybe AQs prob 95% of the time.

i vote call PF, and fold to the push. This is 99-TT and AQs+ way too often.

K, folding is the consensus. Assuming same action, pp greater than or equal to x? = call.

Re: 88 resqueezed by 2+2er

Why squeeze here preflop? This is a great hand to have on the button.

Re-raising preflop eliminates your positional advantage. So, you trade the advantages of taking it down now vs. playing a raised pot in position. I prefer position.

I think his range is something like AK/AQs/88+ w/ it being heavily weighted towards 88-TT/AK/AQs. Given that I prolly look him up w/ TT+/AK.

Re: 88 resqueezed by 2+2er

I call here unless most 2+2ers are just calling raises from "typical bad players" holding 99+ when they know a 2+2er who is known to squeeze with a wide range is sitting directly to their left on the button.
