Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/3) (10-20 NL)
When was the last time the Lions were good (j/k)
Anyways, I think I need to write up some stuff like I did in the past in my thread starter if that many people will click on it. I was wandering over at High Stakes NL and found a couple of relevant posts regarding LATB, one from Kirk R. and one about last week's video blog: Kirk R's post Video blog discussion |
Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/3) (10-20 NL)
Just tuned in and here are two guys in a $10K pot, one with one pair and the other with one less than that. Started out chasing $30 in blinds. Any resemblance between "L@TB" and poker is purely incidental.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/3) (10-20 NL)
I thought Jonas was the greatest because he kept making big calls and big laydowns that were right. He did it for weeks. Then he started making big calls and big laydowns that were wrong every time. Mo ditto?

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/3) (10-20 NL)
It's also Mo's month for the horseshoe.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/3) (10-20 NL)
Oh no! Dave is starting with that radioish BS of omitting transitive verbs. Don't do it Dave. You are bigger than that. Lead don't follow.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/3) (10-20 NL)
Getting called on a naked flush draw bluff when your opponent has re-draws is not "taking advantage of your opponent."

I yield the floor.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/3) (10-20 NL)
Dave/Bart
In regards to the mark/ mo 77 vs AQ, can you guys comment on what is the correct play to make there on the turn. I mean when Mo check raises all in what hand can he expect to call him that he has beat? It seems to me only better hands than AQ are calling that push, which makes it very risky. What would you guys have done in the same situation oop w/ AQ (mainly would Bart do, b/c I know dave would c/c lead turn...) Thanks, Ben L. from NY |

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/3) (10-20 NL)
On the hand when Kirk has AA - if Kirk is either crushed or has his opponents crushed like Tuck says, why would you check-raise that flop instead of just letting his opponent bluff his money off with nothing and also lose the minimum when your opponent has a 9? It worked out there, but why not just cell?
|
Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/3) (10-20 NL)
Maybe he thought dude checkraised all in with a-9?
|
Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/3) (10-20 NL)
It sounded like they were pretty short compared to the pot.

the horseshoe is slipping

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/3) (10-20 NL)
ya but if mark leads with his 9, dave and bart are giving him praise for leading with a 9 and getting kirk to double him up.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/3) (10-20 NL)
I swear to god, the people on $100 Full Tilt no limit are much better than this. All in with 3-6 of diamonds? Considering you're 4-1 to win..

I have to say, Lindasy Lohan is remarkably good looking- not sure why I thought of that all of a sudden.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/3) (10-20 NL)
It depends on the player? Mark isn't a pro is he? Just a rec player? Some will call with 99, 9-10suited 9-8 suited just because it looks good....
|
Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/3) (10-20 NL)
Yeah, I was stacked by 10-7 suited on a flop of A77 when someone called my raise with that.

I mean he saw kirk commit all of his chips with KK on that very connected board? I think this is a case for him to call with 44 or 99 or maybe 9-10 suited knowing that kirk is gonna put it all in their with a overpair. |

Hey Bart/Dave,
Have either of you have seen the new computerized poker tables that are coming out? Greektown casino in Detroit is getting a couple installed in January. Just wondering if you guys think it would be more positive EV to play at those tables since you wouldn't have to tip a dealer. |

tuch you just said that if you're afraid of someone having the nuts all the time then don't play...you guys ever have a time in a game where you find yourself playing scared? what would you attribute this to? i know if you play above you're normal comfort zone this feeling is almost unavoidable, but ever when in your regular game?

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (11/3) (10-20 NL)

[/ QUOTE ] You do realize that I don't normally play for 300BB stacks with overpairs, right? If this were online, I'd probably be forced to fold. In that case, however, Bobby's bet on turn really really felt like a move in the end, and I just went with my instincts and put the rest of it in. Kirk |

We couldn't really tell the action that was going on, all i saw was mark lead, barry fold and you repop and him commit with A10. |
