Another Micros Foxwoods trip (ZOMG!)
 

Well friends,

Our last Foxwoods trip was a success, but we need to improve in several areas:

1. Fewer wifes/gfs that want to leave early.

2. More splitting a hotel room and getting drunkern.

Will someone who knows more about this sort of thing look into rates at "Tha Woodz" and nearby? kthx[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

3. More getting reservations at one of the nice restaurants (and showing up 5 - 10 minutes late on purpose).

4. Less $2/$4 and more $4/$8 and higher.

I could be game in the 2nd or 3rd weekend of December. My prof wants me to push a paper out by Dec. 1 (I'm already behind schedule), but after that should be a very good time for me.

Pre-trip report:

Str8fish ZOMGPWNS DrModern, hitting his 5 outers repeatedly. One hand, for example, I'm in MP1 with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], all limp to me, I limp (due to my fantastic good luck and superb postflop skills, I can make this call). Modern behind me raises with QQ. I decide to mess with him some, and I 3-bet. Modern caps. Flop is Q72. Good flop for me, so I bet when it's checked to me. Modern raises, I 3-bet, he caps. Uh oh... I'm putting him on nothing at this point. I think he's bluffing. Turn comes out the 2. YES! I think... I'm gonna cap this mofo, and once again, Modern and I cap. I look over at Modern's stack and he's only got 2 more bets left before he has to rebuy for all his $1 chips. River, 2. I take the rest of Modern's moneys. Modern goes on mad wild-ass monkey tilt. I'm talkin REAL monkey tilt... he starts shizzin in his hand and throwing it at everybody, foamin at the mouth, poundin on the ground! I duck behind Wookie, who takes the brunt of the poo. Modern finally gets carried away by security and I stay behind, rubbing my nipples and making kissy faces at the dealer, who, by the way, I slipped a $100 to previously. I love that woman.

I'm definitely in for one of the first few weekends in December, so long as I have like 2 weeks or so of advanced notice....

Also, I'm willing to contribute my NL and Omaha H/L skillz so that Wookie won't be alone on the NL side of the poker room...and, more importantly, I'm willing to provide transportation in my Badonkadonk Land Cruiser. Holla.

I posted that I wanted to make it to the last get together, but lack of time and planning prevented me from doing so. I really want to make it this time.

The best weekend for me is going to be the weekend of Dec. 16-17, so my vote goes for this weekend.

Where's the trip report? I gotta get in on the next one of these; never met a 2+2'er in real life. Any weekend after Thanksgiving is fine.

In micro-balla fashion I may blow my entire bankroll of wampum points at one meal under the right circumstances.

i'll be there the weekends of 8-10 and 15-17 and I'm up for some mid limit drunken spewing.

PS: call RIGHT NOW and make reservations. I just booked two trees for something like 125/night, which is about the best you're going to get in the area. but these suckers sell fast so best get on it, you can always cancel 24 hrs in advance.

How do you feel about splitting hotel room costs? Are we interested in staying at Foxwoods or do we wanna go somewhere a little ways out?

If the latter, we can also come back to my house ~45 minutes away.

PokarKing and I also came up with the idea of playing beirut with champagne (in true balla fashion). Your thoughts?

I'm certainly up for either option. If there are like 5 or 6 of us it shouldn't cut into our inevitably massive profits too much.

I mean if we end up back at Doc's lair we'll still end up needing the dollaz for some Cristal and high-priced call-girls or something.

So, yeah, I'm in no matter what we decide to do but if we want to stay at the Woodz we'll need to decide soon so we can get a decent rate. Sweet.

Hey guys,

I'd like to go ahead and start planning details for this. It seems like the best weekend in general so far is the weekend of Dec. 15th.

Meaning we go on 15th, stay that night, play on Dec. 16th, stay that night, and then head back to our respective lives on Sunday.

If we wanted to stay at Foxwoods, we can get a junior suite with 2 double beds and a couch for $520 total (meaning for both nights).

A chart:

Riight, I voted for that weekend being ok and also for staying at Teh Woodz. BigBadBabar and I will be racking up Wampum Rewards Points this week so perhaps we can use those to offset the hotel costs? Sweet.

We can only book at DA WOODZ on Friday night, unfortunately. We'll have to stay someplace less sweet (but hopefully cheaper as well) on Saturday.
