Poker Players - Please Answer This Poll

his is a quick subject i'm covering in one of my modules for my masters course and i'd really appreciate if i could get some real statistics to use.

the question is this.

If you could download a video tutorial on play tips by an (arbitrary) online poker pro. imagine its one who plays at your buyin level. how much (if anything) would you be willing to pay to download it and therefore view it as many times as you like?

lol @ that.

Seriously, do you expect to get real statistics out of OOT?
Furthermore, even if the results were honest, the results would be dramatically skewed depending on which stakes the relevant people are playing.

If anything, you should've asked how many BB are you prepared to pay for an instructional video. Or something in that line.

If this is the level of research required to get a Master's degree, then sign me up.

I think your lowest option should be under $20.

i chose $10 or more too. yippee.

is that sorta like picking "most all of the above"?

Re: Poker Players - Please Answer This Poll

thanks for the replies so far. the reason why i dont have a bbx is because the theory is video's of pro's at all levels will be available, as well as video's of successful amateurs at each level.

i say arbitrary pro because it would be bias to get examples.

this isn't anything special to do directly with my masters degree its just a 1 page topic of discussion as part of a group project that is my job to produce and i prefer using some real feedback on it.

Re: Poker Players - Please Answer This Poll

if I am playing $.50/$1 $100 is 100BB which is significant to me. 1/3 my roll.

if I am playing $1000/$2000 $1000 is insignifant to me on small bet. The difference is $1000 is much more money then $1000 but investment wise it is much less...

Does that make sense?

Re: Poker Players - Please Answer This Poll

you need to make this poll in terms of big blinds. here, your results are very biased by which level people play at.

Masterplan 10-13-2006 05:52 PM

Re: Poker Players - Please Answer This Poll

then it may be biased towards limit players/no limit players/stt palyers/mtt players.
this is just to get a rough idea.
trust me its fine as it is without doing a survey.

Re: Poker Players - Please Answer This Poll

I don't read other strat forums much, but anyone who has found 2+2 and posts in the shorthanded sections in the past year has essentially had this same opportunity for free. Plenty of pro players have posted videos with them commenting on how and why they are making the plays they are and then there is thread for discussion as well.

Re: Poker Players - Please Answer This Poll

I would only buy it if the "arbitrary" poker pro was Phil Hellmuth. If it wasn't for luck, he'd win every time.
