So they are just suspending deposits on US accounts until they find new ways to fund them? Sorry if this has already been posted

I assume they are going to offer hardcore fantasy sports games. Allowing thousand dollar and greater bets. This will make the US Govt wonder wtf they made any exemptions.

It's a party email. I't doesn't mean anything and if you send again them the exact same email you sent them that generated this response it is very possible you will get a completly different ansnwer.

This is a HUGE find!!! They were VERY EXPOSED with IGM-Pay so I understand the shut down now. They must be seeing all the loopholes in the law and are crafting the next version of IGM-Pay or a 3rd Party solution.

Sounds like party is just going to roll out other "legal" services and once the funds are deposited you will be able to transfer them to the poker room...

This looks like really good news...if anyone has more info on this please post. Might actually be time to buy some party stock.

I responded back for clarification, but from my understanding it means if you have money in your account at the time the bill is signed you can still play poker, just can't make any more deposits

Yes, definitely is hope.

But how freaking idiotic is Party for letting so many KNOW that they will be cutting off their American customers 'indefinitely' and not clarifying some of these not so insignificant details on their own.

I mean, it kind of snuck out there in an e-mail from party customer-service. Shouldn't they be TELLING their freaking customers what they are going to be doing???

Party is making no sense at all!!!!!!!

Surprise surprise.

i wouldn't mind one bit if they were completely quiet about their intentions on this, as long as they actually roll something out in the future.

Although I am sure they are trying to figure something out, itīs also a way to hold on to the our float longer.

Their announcement to the share-type-people couldn't say anything else. Likewise, dodging an announcement would have been bad too.

If they're going to do anything sneaky, they're not going to put it in an official announcement for the lawyers of the world to use as evidence.

Edit: See rakeback for details.

The obvious solution to the Party problem is to just give all Americans regular, large CRBs.

You guys are putting way too much stock in a Party support email. Wait and see what happens.

Party needs to stop the deposit bonuses though. If we can't deposit, we can't claim the bonus! They need bonuses that just require us to type in a code without the need for deposit.

If it turns out true that they're only suspending deposits from US customers, the people who left their money in PP will be able to keep playing. The people who cashed out will have to take up knitting.

It would make no sense that they would be allowed to play but not deposit.

That's because of the third-level game theory randomizer on their email answering bot.

They have the biggest non-u.s. player base. It will still be a viable option for income as long as there's a way to play there.

It really would make no sense. By allowing Americans to play, they would be incurring the legal risks involved in violating the law. By not letting people despoit, they would be taking the massive revenuse hit as if they were following the law. It would basically be the worst of both worlds.

Doesn't the bill say it's illegal to accept transactions for purposes of wagering, or something like that? It would seem that it's accepting the deposits that would violate the law, not the actual play. At least in the case of poker, which is not house-banked.

I believe this is the stance a few sites have taken..ie..we do not take bet or wager we are just a service provider..This would relate to poker only..
