PAHUD best display
I'm so so so technologically retarded.
1. How do you adjust PAHUD's display to inculde stats on opponents like "folded to c-bet, c/r, etc. etc." and, non-techincally: 2. Is there a general 2p2 concensus on how you set it up, what stats you use, etc? |

Re: PAHUD best display
I saw someone having a HUD with different fontsizes. How do I do that? Or maybe it wasn't PAHUD at all?
|
Re: PAHUD best display
There is no concensus, but try to put as many stats as you can on the tables. If you play 6-max you can easily put 4 lines of 6-7 stats each. Don't rely on the pop up.
I use the following layout. Each line is a street (pf/f/t/r) and each color is an acton. (red fold, green raise, etc.). So, I can easily find the stat I'm looking for ... http://static.flickr.com/60/21119958...835aac.jpg?v=0 |

This is so incredibly confusing. [/ QUOTE ] Start slow. This was my setup early on. Make a combined stat: VP$IP/PFR/AF/WTSD/Hands seen Place this above each player box. Use individual stat from top to bottom on right side of box: CBet CBet turn Fold to Cbet I like a single floating number in the player's box: Steal Attempts Outside the player I add two more. I increase the size as there is a weakness in my game about calling big river bets. Wins When Raises Turn Wins When Raises River Add more as you get these down. *************VP$IP/PFR/AF/WTSD/Hands***************** *************__________________________CBets WWRT////WWRR*__________________________CBets turn *************_____________________SA___Folds to CBet *************___________________________********** **** |

[/ QUOTE ] Well, I don't think so ... becuase I came up with that "system" that worked for me ... a street per line, a color per action. So, if I want to know the % of fold on the turn, I have to see the red number on the third line .. I find it very easy to read. You have 16kposts ... do you play HSNL ? Can you post your layout ? I'm curious ... |
Re: PAHUD best display
This is an interesting approach. So, what are the other colors representing besides the green and red?

Re: PAHUD best display
I really like APerfect10's layout.

This is an interesting approach. So, what are the other colors representing besides the green and red? [/ QUOTE ] I guess you can use whatever color you want. I would suggest to stick with RYG for fold/call/raise since they're easy to remember .. they're the same color than a traffic light and they're used the same way more or less (red: fold/stop). But for the other colors, use whatever you want. -red : fold - the one in ( ) is for fold to CB -yellow : call -green : raise -orange : aggression factor -blue : CB -cyan : Check-Raise -purple (bottom right) : went to SD -the vpip (1st field, 1st row) is the only one that changes color depending on the calue (red for tight, orange loose, pink very loose). -general stats (money won, # hands) white since they're not related to the player's way of playing |
Re: PAHUD best display
Intriguing.
I assume CB means continuation beton the street by the player, right? |
Re: PAHUD best display
Yes ... continuation bet on the flop, then on the river.
But this is the problem of not using the pop up. In the pop up it says for example : Continuation bet 66% (2/3). You can then assume that the value of 66% isn't that accurate since it's only based on 3 hands. The first player on my picture is a 51/1 ... and has a CB of 100%. I guess it's based on the ~2 times he raised preflop. 2 hands to say that his CB rate is 100% isn't very accurate. It's the same thing with stats on later streets. "Check-Raise on river for instance". If the player has play 200 hands, but went to the river only 50 times ... you don't have a very large sample of hands for river stats in general. In addition, If on those hands he's only given the opportunity to check raise 10 times, and does it 5 times, his check raise % will be of 50%. You look at the number of hands and say that it must be accurate-ish since he has 200 hands ... but that particular stat is based on 10 hands only ... In the pop up you could see 50% (5/10 hands). PokerAce ... is there a "solution" to this ... w/o having to look at the pop up ? |
Re: PAHUD best display
I agree. The cleaner my table is the better. This is especially true with multitables. I show VP$IP,PrflR%,Tot aggr ,Icon, Net won, # of hands. On tournaments I get rid of Net won,# of hands.I also set it to only show last 30 hands in the later stages of the tournament.
I then use the pop up window for all the rest. This works well. I will sit and immediately check the fold to steal ratio of the players after me and the Attempt to steal ration of those before me. |

Re: PAHUD best display
Thanks guys, I think I've got it set up nicely for me now. I didn't want too much clutter, but I've added call/fold/raise of c-bet, and won $ at sd %. I might tweak it a bit more, but I think this will be fine for me outside of the popup.

Re: PAHUD best display
But be careful with the W$SD ...
To quote Ben from 6thSense ; "There's a big flaw in using W$SD as a predictive stat. W$SD itself is a very volatile statistic, and doesn't converge until at least 1,000 hands, probably more like 5,000. "Doesn't converge" means that you really don't know its true value until you measure LOTS of hands. With that many hands you already have a good idea of the player's bb/100." |
