McD\'s breakfast - all day?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14924690/

Since I hate everything MickeyD's except for their breakfast, this is good.

God I would love this. I wish BK would do it too, because their Croissantwiches are AMAZING.

I'd rather have Lunch all day, but both would be hawt.

Re: McD\'s breakfast - all day?

I don't really need it all day, but they need to serve it until at least 1 or 2 pm rather than 10:30 or whatever it is now for those hungover Sunday mornings.

You just made my day.

Ever been to McDonalds around 10:30 and seeing people desperately trying to get their breakfast orders in?

This is awesome.

I wish Chik-fil-A was open Sundays and served breakfast later than 10:30. The chicken biscuit is the greatest food ever invented.

And I feel sorry for those of you who live in parts of the country without chik-fil-a. You poor souls.

If this goes down, my life expectency will decrease from 44 to 39 due to all of the Sausage McMuffins/Hash Browns consumed in the next 8 years.

speaking of which, Sonic already does this with their breakfast burritos.

Everytime I get a chance to eat mcd's breakfast, I say to anyone who will listen that they should serve it all day. It's so cheap and so good.

I would. BK serves lunch all the time and I routinetly used to get Whopper Meals and stuff at 8 am when I was in HS. IMO, this is the best time to get lunch food casue you are positive it was just freshly made.

What a Friggin' tease. Stop considering. Start with the hotcakes ands sausage.

If this is why they are tearing down and rebuilding all the McD near me its well worth it.

Thats funny, while you were in HS eating these at 8am, I was in high school making them at 8am...

I wouldn't ever go into BK and order one of these prior to 10:30 or so...

I can only imagine. We have a Chik-fil-a at our student union, but no breakfast. I want to try this.

Seriously, this is costing them millions of dollars, right? Assuming they've got a positive cash flow per hours open, losing an entire day just intuitively seems like a horrible, horrible business decision.

I've heard the owners are religious and so its a Christian thing, but I can't understand it at all. Partially because I'm not religious and partially because my morals can be bought for the right price.

The owner (Truet <sp> Cathy) is very old and very religious. Once he passes, I can't see the closed on Sunday thing lasting too much longer.

But at least NCAA football is on Saturday!

Sorry for the mini-hijack.

And onto another mini-hijack, Are all of you aware that the "southern style chicken sandwhich/biscuit" from Mcd's is a BLATANT rip-off of Chick-Fil-A's signature items?

They need to make an option to sub hashbrowns for fries. God, I'd eat their hashbrowns all day.

It is crap and I don't eat it. If I was to eat it, it would be the breakfast.

But I can understand how those less fortunate than I (those poor people without access to a Chick-Fil-A) would eat it.

Jack in the box has new buttermilk biscuits that taste way better than McD's biscuits IMO, so since thats the only breakfast item i eat its of no use to me because Jack in the Box sells breakfast 24 hours a day.

Re: McD\'s breakfast - all day?

little known fact:

at McD's (at least where I'm from) will let you order hotcakes any time. It never happened while I worked there, but my boss said they did because they're microwaved.

The part that would be tough to enable this is the actual cooking and building of the sandwiches. All the restaurants have limited grill space and limited storage for stuff like eggs and burgers. When I worked at McD's, the changeover period at 11 was always the biggest pain in the ass.

If I had to guess, I could see them extending the breakfast slot both ways... i.e., serve it later into lunch, and also have it for the late night. I couldn't imagine it'd be very profitable from 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock.

Man, as I'm reading this, I could really use a sausage, egg, cheese biscuit, a mcgriddle, some hash browns, and a big OJ.

I'm hungry.
