\"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (9/13) (10-20 NL)

Tonight's show will be starting at 10-20 NL with a 1k min, no max buyin, eventually going to 20-40 NL (maybe).

Now to last night's snoozefest, a/k/a the $1k NL HU tournament. Seems the action picked up quite a bit well after the cameras were turned off. I'll quote Bart from the PM he sent me (although I'm sure he'll discuss this on the show as well):

[ QUOTE ]
An interesting end to last nights tournament; after Brian Lee went up 1-0, Jonas took a bad beat in the second match. He apparently then tossed the cards in the air and hit the dealer in the face. He was immediately barred from the casino. I am unsure as to if he has been officially dqed from the tourney but brian and him had a $1000 save before the match. It appears as though Brian Lee might win $7000 and Jonas $1000. Again these results are not official. I am not making this up!

[/ QUOTE ]

More will certainly be mentioned at www.liveatthebike.com starting at 10pm ET.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (9/13) (10-20 NL)

I wonder if he did it on purpose, I don't think it would be like Jonas to throw cards directly at the dealers face... I bet he threw them towards the muck and they caught air.. I've seen it happen before. He shouldve just pulled a Mike and ripped up the cards =)

Can you expand on what the Limit player's story is ?

"Made" Molina look bad? He did all that work himself. ESPN didn't throw the chip at Gold, berate the various players, get him drunk on Zima or whatever that was he was on in the first hour.

Re: Chad - I think this year's been one of his better efforts being the color guy. Of all the PBP types out there, Lon's definitely the best of that bunch, he knows his role quite well.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (9/13) (10-20 NL)

I heard that Molina was drunk during the first day shown last night (day 3?). I also read that during day 4 (the next day) a 2p2er was sitting with him and he was a 'good kid' or somethin like that. Someone even posted a link to his 'myspace' and by all indications he seemed like a normal 21 year old on there too. I feel sorry for him cuz I imagine he couldn't have been as big a jackass as he was portrayed and if he was, then I feel bad for him as well since that sorta thing can follow you around for a long time...

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (9/13) (10-20 NL)

i threw the card and it cought a gust of air and hit the dealer in the face.
it was an accident and i immediately apologized.
i was in no way trying to throw the card at the dealer, i had been up for 30+ hrs and it was clearly an accident.
nontheless i was barred for 40 days.
in two years at the casino i have never once had a floorman called due to my behavior.
as for the tourney i was DQ.

which is total BS.

i will never play at the bike again due to this decision.
i have no problem with the suspension, however to DQ me from the tourney and award brian the 7000 is crap.

i have seen players consistently abuse dealers and other players and nothing is done.
granted it is NOT acceptable to hit the dealer with a card, it was an accident i immediately apologized and anyone that knows me knows i would never intentionally hit a dealer with a card.

i offered to play brian at a different casino and of course brian refused.
mo asked him if he would wait to complete the tourney and of course he refused.
the only reason he won the first match is because he hit a three outer in one big pot and a five outer in another.
i was outplaying him the whole time and he knew it.

jonas.

I gotta sign off. The feed is too choppy to figure out what's happening from the pictures, and the announcers are talking about everything but the game. Tootle-oo.

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (9/13) (10-20 NL)

Even being barred seems a little stiff... at the local casino here I had some drunk ass threaten 10 times to beat my ass, get up from the table and lean over and get in my face, slam his chips on the table, tell me i was a [censored] pussy, every other word was a curse word and etc, and he didn't even get kicked out.

seems like Jonas is(was) a regular at the bike... good job guys in keeping your regular guests satisfied. I agree, hitting the dealer with a card in the face IS unacceptable... but accidents happen. IMO, he shoulda been warned stiffly, but thats it. I've never seen Jonas get out of line in all of the L@TB i've watched, and I've watched alot.

Doesn't John Goodman ever need a stand in? Got to be some work there - I'd get on the blower

Kevmath 09-13-2006 11:23 PM

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (9/13) (10-20 NL)

John (and Bart) are correct, it's Brent Carter. Corp. Mike does get away with more because of his being part of the corporation. Since the Bike's not allowed to bank the various other table games in the casino, they need the "corporations" to help sustain that part of their cardroom business. 40 days suspension for Jonas is extremely harsh, from the impression I got from Bart, Mo could reduce that length if Jonas wished to get back into the Bike. However, it seems that's not happening since Brian's not going to give up the easy 6k he "won".

Bart right on cue with the "How about an action flop. Set against a flopped straight." And the flop comes exactly that. Gotta love it.

My guy Jeremy snug as a rug. Works for him I guess. (Works for me too).

The Jonas decision is completely ridiculous... Bart or someone on the show has to do something to bring him back.

Come on guys. You all know that L@TB and myself have absolutely nothing to do with Jonas getting banned. To think that we can break casino policy and bring Jonas back is very unrealistic.

JJoseph 09-14-2006 02:36 PM

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (9/13) (10-20 NL)

Bart, I didn't mean to imply that L@TB had something to do with it at all. I was merely implying that you could use your persuasive Bartgasm powers. I mean you are e-famous. All joking aside, the show wont be the same without Jonas. I hope this matter is rectified in someway...Brian's decision to just take the money and run was pretty weak IMO.
