Who wants a sweat in HSP next season.

Hey all, just a quick little poll. Hypothetical, do you feel that you would be more interested in watching High Stakes Poker if you were able to have a piece of the action? By this there are 2 ways it could be done. 1) A player on the show was to sell shares of him/her self ala Fossilman in the main event, or 2) A player on the show was to book the action in a percentage up to a certain amount. All money would of course need to be posted prior to filming.

Just curiosity, would anyone on here be interested in either of the two options.

Randy

you're talking to poker players, who wouldn't find it more interesting.

Mod note: Interesting idea to talk about, but using this forum to solicit a stake is non cool

Also, does anybody really think Randy Jensen is worth a stake in this game?

You're correct, I mistook the "interview" as the background for TV kind, not the "get on the show" kind. My apologies.

I wasn't actually looking for a stake. I don't even know if I am gonna be on the show at this point. But I have noticed that there are a few(lot) of Randy Jensen detractors on here so there may be some people who feel confident betting against me. There may also be some others who wanted a piece of something that they would never be able to be a part of and this may be an interesting way to do it.

Mostly if I did try to get a piece out it would be because I wanted to have a higher bankroll for the game. I will play on my own money that is no problem. But one of the producers questions was if I buy i for 100K (what I was planning on) how would it effect me if there were 3-5, million dollar stacks on the table. Apparently there are a few others that are gonna really blast it up next season. If that is the case it would be desireable to have a higher BR for the big double up.

If even throwing the question out is not cool then I will remove the post if you want.

Aren't you the guy who pushed QJ for all your chips in the ME and then breated someone for calling you with AQ?

Yeah... I'll pass.

To be fair he didn't really berate him, he just said "terrible call" after he busted.

Re: Who wants a sweat in HSP next season.

Either way, I'd much prefer for HSP to be comprised entirely of accomplished professionals. I hate having to watch guys like Fred Chaminara and Jerry buss play.

Actually I can see your point. Except for the 2nd half of the statement that was not shown...........I said what a bad call,...FOR ME.
His call was an instacall because he was a complete donk. He got a ton of chips hitting a 1 card straight flush vs Ahigh flush, and kept on making really bad calls and getting away with it where it would be him vs a dominating hand and they would both hit, but he would get 2 pair vs the other guys toppair or agianst me where he called underpair to river with me flopping 2 pair and betting big all the way and hitting a 2 outter set. But for me his was the worst call that there could have been.

But in all seriousness, if you have any good stories on Fischman or anyone else of minor fame, NVG is always game to hear them.

Randy, I don't have anything against you but you could have left it at "it was a bad call for me".

how is he a complete donk for calling with a 3-1 advantage for a small % of his stack?

I think Randy's writting skills are very poor. I think he is saying his opponent in this hand had gotten his big stack by getting lucky and making very bad calls with draws that hit. In the hand in question, I think Randy was saying he meant the guy calling was a bad call for Randy because he had Randy dominated.
Hope thats right, but after carefully reading his post 3 times that is the translation I get.

You are absolutely right. My writing on boards is more stream of unconciousness than anything. Sometimes I don't get my point across the way I expect to. It is just my inexperience with the medium. I am going to make an effort to write in good, proper , understandable english from now on.

If that does not work perhaps you can follow my posts and translate for the masses, because you were able to read through it. I can pay on commission.

Not sure the Stuey book is the one to read, if one wants to avoid, being over-agressive.

Randy,

Serious question (not a hypothetical) from someone interested in booking your action.

If your current bankroll only allows for a single buy-in in this game, how would cover such a bet in the event you got stacked?

PM me if interested and we'll talk.

Hey Randy you have got some balls calling someone else a DONK...for Gods sake you sat out the majority of day 1 in the WSOP reading a BOOK...LOL and your performance at the recent US Poker Championship was nothing short of pure comedy. Ive never seen anybody overplay Q/Jos as badly as you did. You tilt harder than 99% of the pros playing today.

Seriously man try to refine your own game (which is horrible as far as I can see) before you start labeling others as 'donks'...especially when you are on 2 plus 2 obviously soliciting a stake.

If people are going to have such massive stacks, are the producers going to jack up the blinds a bit? After all, what is a $1200 blind to a $5 million stack?
