\"Official\" WSOP ME Broadcast on ESPN thread (9/12) (Days 4-6)

Today's two hours tonight should bring the field down from 135 to the final 27. Expect lots of Jamie Gold tonight, as this is when he started dominating the field. Also, expect the final table participants to get more airtime, as well as ESPN faves such as Brian Micon.

Who's up for predicting Noble's cripple/elimination hand?

I bet he either goes out on a big bluff or overplays an over/top/middle pair.

I am also looking forward to seeing Annie's very oddly played hand where she lost most of her stack

spoiler in white:

(I think she reraises a guy over half her stack preflop out of the BB, flop comes Axx and she check/folds, claims she had KK afterwards)

They're doing 135 to 27 I guess, and how could I forget that Nobles/Brenes are still in this as well, sheesh.

And there's Binger's first apperance on the broadcast as well as Rhett Butler as he takes a piece of Nobles' stack.

Did it seem like Nobles didn't realize the guy hit his straight at first? He made a "Yes" sound & then a double-take, followed by a very unhappy face. At least that's what I saw.

who else was surpsied KK held up against TT and AK

gobboboy 09-12-2006 08:15 PM

Re: \"Official\" WSOP ME Broadcast on ESPN thread (9/12) (Days 4-6)

TT should have had an instamuck unless the guy was being crazy. And AK should muck even faster once TT calls.

Omahahaha 09-12-2006 08:17 PM

Re: \"Official\" WSOP ME Broadcast on ESPN thread (9/12) (Days 4-6)

wouldnt the AK first time around be a push/fold spot? flat calling 2 raises OOP seems bad.

but did AK have the pot odds to call since he had them both covered? but i agree about the TT easy fold

Re: \"Official\" WSOP ME Broadcast on ESPN thread (9/12) (Days 4-6)

Unless I'm missing something, that was an awful call with the tens. Maybe he was priced in though, they don't give pot sizes or chipstacks so it's impossible to know for sure. If he was pricing himself in for a push call with the tens though, I think he should've just reraise pushed (though it wouldn't have helped him anyways).

Re: \"Official\" WSOP ME Broadcast on ESPN thread (9/12) (Days 4-6)

UTG limped with KK for 12k.
TT made it 60k.
BB calls with AK (this is fine with the utg guy there and fairly deepstacked).
UTG pushes for 660k. WTF?
TT instapushes with TT.
BB calls the push for at LEAST 700k.

Too many chipses.

Makes sense. He's ridiculously tight. I don't know why they love portraying him as loose.

that flop bet w/ AJ vs Gold on the KKJ flop is soooooooo bad

Re: \"Official\" WSOP ME Broadcast on ESPN thread (9/12) (Days 4-6)

Then I don't mind the raise with tens, sounds like a good raise size. Awful call of the push though, the only hand he's ahead of here is AK, even vs. a lagtard he's behind with weak pot odds and not even closing the action.

Most obvious WA/WB situation ever especially vs a guy capable of check/raises with air. Only card he has to fear is a Q coming off.

I don't understand why Gold's loose/passive style is scaring anyone... he just doesn't seem like a good player to me...
