(False accusation later retracted/MH) Dishonest 2+2er: ImsaKidd
 

A few months back, when the Monster program started, I made a post about switching sites and asked if anyone wanted to split the refer-a-friend bonus on Pacific. ImsaKidd (who had over 2K posts) PM'd me and I created a new account.

I waited a few weeks and then PM'ed him to see what was up. He replied that he had to clear the bonus and wasn't paying me until Pacific paid him. So I waited a few more weeks. Sent a PM and received the same response. He was unclear whether or not he had cleared the bonus and not received payment, or hadn't bothered playing on the site.

Today I see a strategy post from him on the SSSH site on hands that he played on Full Tilt.

Anyway, I have no other recourse but to let everyone know that ImsaKidd is dishonest. If anyone wanted to split a RAF bonus, I would certainly cooperate and send the $$. That's just the way I am, and the way I expect most experienced posters on here to be. Even if I was a poor college student, I wouldn't bother angleshooting this way. Wouldn't make me feel too good about myself, and it wouldn't be worth the bad karma. It's a shame that someone would go out of their way to take advantage of a situation, tell lies about how they haven't received their bonus money yet, all for a mere $50 (I originally wanted to split the entire bonus 50/50, but then agreed when ImsaKidd insisted on giving me only $50 because he had to clear a bonus).

They havent credited the $150 to me. Obviously 4 PM's (every time you PM'ed me), isn't enough for you to get the message.

Also, I have no reason to screw anyone out of $50. I'm not gonna give you $50 when Pacific hasnt credited me the $150 yet. I don't know if you didnt click the right link or what, but I hate dealing with Pacific customer support because it is worse than party support (IMO).

Someone not play enough yet? New account (bobhalford) should get $50 (from Pacific) and referer (ImsaKidd ) $150 (from Pacific) after enough play by new account (bobhalford). Sounds like maybe bob hasn't played enough?

I think I got one of the $25 payments, not sure about the other one, whatever that is. What is being contested is the $50 out of the $150 that should have been credited to ImsaKidd's account. According to him, it has not been credited. He tried phone support, but it is currently unavailable, so we'll see tomorrow what happens.

I think ImsaKidd means well. He may not be a dishonest 2+2er... he may just need a little motivating to solve problems.

I can't blame myself for making the initial post. After 3 months and a few PM's, all he had to say to me was "it hasn't been credited to my account." No mention of having contacted support, no mention of how strange it was that no money was received, etc. All he said was that he's not giving me any $$ until he gets his $$. That was fine with me until 3-4 months later when I'm asking for an explanation.

Given ImsaKidd's responses to my PM's, the only thing I could conclude was that he was taking the $$ for himself. Certainly, if I was him, I would have contacted Pacific 3 months ago demanding my $150. It occured to me that the only reason why he wouldn't care about this is because he got his $150 and isn't paying me the $50. The only evidence in his favor was that he actually continued to repond to my PM's.

If you did not get the second $25, they don't think you generated enough points. If they don't think you generated enough points, they aren't going to pay him.

And you don't give a Forque about $25 Pacific may owe you? But you can come screaming here over $50?

Since I've accumlated over 4,000 points, I think I've played enough. I probably did receive the 2nd $25 bonus, I just don't know what that is exactly. I know that they have given me more money other than the first deposit bonus.

I don't think it's that I haven't played enough. I think there may have been a problem at Pacific, which we will hopefully sort out tomorrow when phone support is back up.

I've contacted support before and didn't experience any problems. I expect this to get resolved tomorrow without much problem, but then again I'm an optimistic person.

and i really did laugh at reading the sensational title that someone at 2+2 may be dishonest...i mean, its a site full of poker players, gamblers and people with nothing better to do with their time except sit at the internet all day - how could any of these people be even slightly dishonest?

Since when do people call inquiring about other people's accounts? I have to provide my mother's maiden name etc. to get support for my account. How do you think it's going to work when I ask for details about someone else's bonus account. That's totally retarded. ImsaKidd should have contacted support 3 months ago. You claim you made enough points, but how does he know you aren't lying? How does he know that you didn't just agree so you could make a quick $50 and never did play?

You don't even know if they gave you the second $25, which should have happened at the same time he got his $100. But you don't seem to care about it. You just want to put all the onus on him. Try getting hold of CS and ask them if they ever credited you the second $25, and when.

Ok - I've sorted the whole thing out today.

I erroneously believed that I had received the bonus money. I just recalled having received a few $25 type gratuities that I figured was the bonus cash. In checking with support, I apparently had not received the bonus. A quick email exchange with promotions solved the problem and our bonuses will be credited in the next 48 hours.

Apologies to ImsaKidd for the thread. I wasn't as clear on the bonus protocol that sites use (and I've never done a RAF bonus before so I didn't realize that my bonus would be credited at the same time as his).

So, in my mind I had done my side of the deal, and ImsaKidd was not doing what needed to be done to get it over with. Even though I was able to resolve this myself, I still think it was his responsibility to contact support to resolve the matter, as I had played enough at Pacific to grant him the bonus. I had done what I was required to do and wasn't getting my $50, which pissed me off.

If ImsaKidd wants me to, I can create a new thread to clear his name. He is not dishonest. But I definitely would not recommend him as someone to share a RAF bonus with.

Why should imsakidd have to do this if you are the one that hadn't received credit for the bonus.

he was pretty relaxed about it apparently and said, "Look, I can't pay you until they pay me. Are you sure you have played enough there?"
And you seemed to be like, "OMG YES YES YES!! Give me my damn money already."


I'm not sure the etiquette for these things either, but it seems like blaming him for Pacific's mistake is kind of silly.
