I finished 2nd for $144, one brain dead play heads up cost me the win.

My dry spell of FTs in the $4s has come to an end

7 /9 going in (I think)

30895820

Dropped 17K in the last 20 hands...ran into 3 big pairs, got away for dirt cheap every time

I busted the first 2 or 3 shorties to build my stack, but the proceeded to make sure I made sure to run into JJ+ about 3 or 4 more times.

Ended up losing a race AJo vs the BB's 99 to bust in 5th.

Oddly, my first finish HIGHER than 6th that wasn't a first.
(after 80ish games)

Yeah, I'm having trouble with the 4/180's as well. I haven't played 80 yet but I keep getting in with the best hand but it never holds up.

Re: 4/180 Sweat

havin 4/180 probs as well

last one i played i cashed but only got 13th due to pushing with KT with about...6 BB and a smaller stack called with 44 and it held, putting me with about 2000 UTG with 600/1200 blinds. i build my stack to about 6000 but UTG i pushed in 800/1600 two cards that connected, not only did KT behind me pushes, so did AK, and finally Q9 called in BB...flopped the gutshot but missed...

imra and dragonz,

I don't have a life and frequently 3 table these gbad boys.
PM me if you want.

p.s.

Best advice to give based off the little info you gave is to play more. Best hand holding up? etc...it happens eventually.

I played the 20/180's casually for a bit with lots of bubbles, busting with AK in 19th place stuff like that. I busted twice last week on the final 2 tables with AA allin PF. Don't get frustrated, eventually you'll break thru them. My previous best finish was only 4th, but now I've had 2 2nd places in the last 5 days. Variance is a bitch.

One of the best things would be watching videos on Pokerxfactor. Mattster has some good ones.

[/ QUOTE ]Same here. In fact, what I've been doing is 3 tabling, and if I bust in one then I fire up another unless I'm deep in one of the remaining tournys. If nothing else, this helps me keep variance in perspective. It's a lot easier to take a bad beat deep in one tourny when I have another going well. And I am getting much more used to my dominating hands getting cracked, as is bound to happen playing so many hands. Even an 80% favorite loses 1 in 5 times. And since you have to double up 4.5 times to get to the final table with a better than average stack in these . . .

Re: 4/180 Sweat

Jeff,

You and I do exactly the same thing. It helps detilt for sure, and starts to put poker/MTTs in a little persepctive.

Also, if I start to make a run/go deep in one...I'm usually busted out of one or two and can focus on it more.
