\"Official\" WSOP ME Broadcast on ESPN Thread (Day 1)
 

This thread's dedicated to the first two hours of the ESPN broadcast of the 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event starting at 8pm ET. This thread will cover the first two hours, covering all 4 day 1's. I expect there will be quite a few threads that get started at WSOP Discussion that will either get moved here or locked there. Discussion of the broadcast should be held in this thread, at least for tonight's airing. Other posts that get started probably will get locked tonight, so be aware of that possibility.

So ESPN had a camera guy out there just to sit out in the vegas heat and wait to get the shot of Phil Hellmuth walking out of his limo to enter the Rio. Perfect.

I don't think the kid is ticked off about how little he got off Phil. I think the kid is pissed because Phil keeps giving a speech everytime he's dealt the wrong side of a hand.

The way Jensen plays, he might have anything there, and just raising to isolate. I think that's a pretty solid read with JJ, and not anywhere near "standard."

Flop was super-coordinated, Phil got lucky. Something like QT9r and I think the turn brought an 8. Other guy bet 500 on the river and Phil called. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Two raises preflop, he cold calls with two red Jacks in position. The flop comes 10s 7s 4s and Jensen fires big into the pot. How is this not a standard fold of two red jacks here with so many chips behind?

The kid is ticked because he was exposed for playing his AA extremely weakly when he could have busted Phil Helmuth.

This was one of the few times where somebody told Phil to shut-up and I was rooting that Phil would lay it on thicker.

I agree and would like to reinforce everything Kanman is saying.

That is not a hard fold with jacks.

Also I would get annoyed having to deal with Phil's speech after every hand as well.

The turn call w/ A no kicker looked bad also.
