Zeebo\'s theorem in my game

Here's one from last night. Against this particular opponent, I'm good on the river 0% of the time. Yet I make the call getting less than 2:1 because I can't fold boats.

Thanks zeebo!

3/6 NL full, stacks 900$

Hero limps 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] from CO, SB calls, villian checks in BB

pot 17$
flop A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
-- check, check, check

turn T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (pot 17)
-- SB checks, villian bets 20$, hero raises to 75$, villian calls

river T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (pot 165)
-- villian insta-donks 200, hero knows he's beat to AT/T8/AA/TT/T2 100% of the time here, but calls anyway

villian shows A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

The reason you lost is that a proper slowplay goes till the river, not just the turn.... duh!

Preflop and flop plays are based on reads.

Preflop is because I had an awful table image and every CB I made was getting CR'ed.

Flop is because these people are almost always betting a pair into me.

You can berate it all you want, but there is no question about whether or not those were the right plays in this particular hand. I was at the table, I know how it was playing, I know how I was being played against, you guys don't. Just leave it.

Normally, PF is a raise, and the flop is a bet... but these guys are betting the flop 99% of the time with a pair on the flop. I don't have a clue why he played TPGK weird in this particular one.
