I NEED Improvement!!!! PT stats

So far i dunno if I play very badly or just that I am unlucky... Can someone please comment on the stats and help me out? My bankroll has been down for a while and I wonder if it will ever be green again...

My major losses are down there... 1/3 of them are bad beat while others are some bad bluffs or wrong reads...

Read FAQ.
5k hands is nothing.
Post hands not stats.

You are not set mining effectively.
Play more hands (5k hand bender at 12 tables will do).

play more hands, fold more in the SB, raise more preflop instead of limping in. you could probably try to steal the blinds a bit more, and i think your went to showdown is a little low?

Re: I NEED Improvement!!!! PT stats

Let me guess.

You try to play nice and tight and you fold alot on the flop and turn..... BUT you call big bets on the river.

Also, you get bored playing 35 hands at weak-tight and you open up your PF play...... but you don't open up PFR%. "Geez, if Jam can play 54s UTG, I can too." Except Jam excerts pressure throughout the session. Shania SINGS for him..... kinda hacks up furballs for you.

How'd I do?

Re: I NEED Improvement!!!! PT stats

Go to the "game notes" tab of PT. Click the "get all" button (make sure you are filtering for hands with at least .10 rake). Then sort by "net" for you biggest winning and losing hands.

Replay these hands with the "win percent" feature activated.

Then look to see if you are getting it in as the favorite, or dog. Did you get sucked out on for some big pots? Did you make stupid bluffs? etc...

Ed Miller had a really good essay on leaks a while back. And in NL you can have great "stats" and play almost perfectly, but if you have one very infrequent leak, but it costs you your stack each time, it can be the difference between being a winning an losing player.

Don't worry about your stats. Review how you played your biggest pots.

Good Luck!

Salloch

Re: I NEED Improvement!!!! PT stats

Your 6-max data is absolutely meaningless since you have less than 500 hands at both levels. For full ring, I think you VP$IP is actually a bit high. I think your W$SD is low, it probably should be 50% or better. Looks like you probably can't fold TP type hands when you are beat on the river. Post hands, not stats. These numbers are meaningless.

Win more money than you lose. This will improve your statistics dramatically.

In the words of Small Sample Size Man:

I deem this sample to be:

INSUFFICIENT.

Re: I NEED Improvement!!!! PT stats

You are playing a variety of hands, which is fine. However, you only raise your premium hands. This is stupid (no offense intended). Stop open limping with speculative hands like JK, 67s, and small pocket pairs. For example if you are one off the cutoff, it is folded to you (or even one limper) and you feel like playing one of these hands, RAISE it. Limping does no good for you. Chances are the players behind you don't have anything spectacular and may fold. If the call, they will probably miss the flop. So if you cont bet, you take down a nice size pot with relatively low risk.

If you look at your QQ stats, you are winning with it about 2/3rds of the time... but you are in the red with this hand. You are winning only 25% of the time at showdown with this hand. This leads me to believe that you are getting too deep and going too far with one pair too often. The AK stats also seem to confirm this. Learn pot control and always evaluate where you are in the hand.

Post some QQ, KK, AA hands that you have gone deep with and I would bet that there are some holes that you could fix immediately.

Re: I NEED Improvement!!!! PT stats

Thanks for all advice!!! My problem is that I only play premium hands at UTG or MP and i will raise them. People know that I am tight and know that I will c-bet most of the time. That's why sometimes i get bored and play marginal hands when button comes to me.

Everytime I flop TPTK, i protect my pot too much from flush draw and so forth and bet pot almost every single time. Around 70 % of the time, all folded, while the remaining 30% they have monsters and I don't want to lay down the hand.

Hands such as this one: Am I being too aggressive???

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($40.08)
BB ($50)
UTG ($101.83)
Hero ($49.25)
MP1 ($71.35)
MP2 ($43)
MP3 ($52.50)
CO ($15.20)
Button ($55.85)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.

SB bets $3, Hero raises to $6, SB folds.

Final Pot: $13.50

What should I do to maximize profits and minimize losses???

This one with AKs... I want to narrow down the field preflop, didn't expect them to call... but hey!! I got TPTK! What now? Of course i am going to take down the pot! Hell... they both have monsters....
