Looking for Baseball Daily Statistics Database
 

Does anyone know where I can find a complete baseball daily statistics database for the last couple of years that I can purchase/download to perform some analysis?

I spent the last several hours searching the internet and I couldnt find anything worthwhile that was downloadable.

Thanks for the info. I checked the site and it has awesome stats but sadly it isnt downloadable.

I did find a site, http://www.retrosheet.org/, that has complete stats for pretty much every single game ever played up through 2005. This is perfect for what I need as I just want to build and test some analysis models and 2006 is not necessary. However, the data is an unholy mess and it is going to take weeks just to get the data in a usable form. But, at least it is all downloadable for free.

if you are able to get the stats from that site into a useable database format in some weeks, then that will be pretty impressive. the people who have databases going back several years protect the info closely, and use it as an edge. so you would be ahead of many, many people if you are able to construct the database.

also nice site you found. http://www.basketball-reference.com/ is a similar site for nba; don't know one for nfl

You could probably sell that database for some cash too if your analysis doesn't turn out well.

Nah. I am just not sure what his problem is with me, but that is the 3rd time he has taken a shot out of the dark. A couple of sports betting guys originally from majorwager, Reno and partner, just opened a new forum gamblersexchange.com - They have put together and maintain a database and at one time were selling it. Just email them and see if they are still are.
