i'm gonna play a few satellites, but probably will buy in to this one either way, and if i do well i'll play the limit tomorrow and try to keep going.

Why are they capping entrants? seems silly.

Also, seems like they could increase the level times by more than 2 minutes.

Hi everyone,

We're truly sorry for the mix up with the low cap on this tournament. To be perfectly honest we weren't quite prepared for the overwhelming response to the event and were unable to come up with a fix for the problem in time that wouldn't result in disrupting the 2000 players that were already registered.

We're definitely going to do better in the future dealing with the amazing growth we're currently experiencing. In fact, we've recently made some changes to the system that will allow us 5000 player tournaments in the near future.

Again, we're really sorry if you got locked out of event #1. There's still plenty of events left to play (including the second chance event #1.5 that starts in 10 minutes!) and plenty of money, jerseys, and an avatar left to be won.

It's possible because we screwed up. Every other $200 buy-in tournament we've had has had under 1250 players. We obviously knew this event would be bigger, but we didn't know it would be twice as big as anything we had previously seen.

All we can really do is apologize and learn from our mistakes. We're currently in the process of raising the cap on events we feel might encounter a similar situation in the future. Hopefully this is the first and last time you'll see a mistake like that from us.

Why were no turbo sng satellites ran after the regular sng satellites stopped around 16:30? Can you say if there will be turbo sng satellites for the rest of the events?


Also, why dont you just run the turbo sng satellites 24/7? Why are were forced to play them in a 45 minute or so window every week? I'd play the 24+2's all the time if I didn't have to play the regular structure.


ALSO! Holy crap fix the payout structure for the 6max mtts. Paying 27 in a 6max mtt = the dumbest thing ever.

Do you always raise that flop? I find that calling makes these subsequent decisions easier.

It was pretty clear at that point that we were going to have a problem with the cap, so we made the decision to not run the turbo sngs to allow as many people to direct buy-in as possible.

All of the hold'em events will have turbo sngs. Unfortunately, at the moment we can't run non-hold'em turbo sats. We're working hard on filling in the holes of our various tournament structures and should roll out more and more structures in the near future. (I also agree that our payout structure for 2000 players is lacking and needs to be fixed.)

We just weren't sure of the demand. For the rest of FTOPS we'll start the turbos the night before the event and see how that goes. If there's enough interest, I'm sure we'll be happy to put them in for the whole week for the regular Sunday tournament.

OKAY! This is just another structure that needs fixing. Unfortunately, we won't get to it in time for Friday's 6-max event, but we'll try to get this rolled out asap.
