Battle of the Bay III

3rd annual San Francisco Bay Area 2+2 home game. Exact date and location to be determined. If you have a house and are able to host, please let me know.

In the past we've had:
NL Tournament (usually $50 entry)
Limit Hold Em'
Dealer's Choice
No Limit Cash Game.

Usually these are for small stakes, kicks and giggles.

Please post here if interested. It will probably be some Saturday in March.

I'm interested. I haven't played much poker in a while, but a friendly bay area tourney would be perfect.... Count me in...

Hi zeero3,

I never played in the big no-limit game at Lucky Chances, so it didn't affect me at all. I play most of my games online at home. If I feel like getting out, I play at a place in Hayward called The Palace, which has the only "big" no-limit game in the Bay Area.

I'm in, again. This time I'll make it. I had unexpected family issues come up at the last minute last year. Again, I'll offer up my 3 car garage. I have the whole setup to host. When I throw poker get togethers, everyone is impressed.

The problem is that I live in Tracy and last year it didn't look like many people were interested in the 1 hour drive from the South Bay. I make the offer nonetheless. FWIW, I can make it to Bay101 in 50 minutes, Oakland in 35 minutes, SFO in about 45 minutes. It's not THAT far to Tracy. More mental than anything else. Tracy? That's halfway to Chicago!

I bought a house in Fremont and have a poker table / chips etc...Table holds up to 10 players plus there is a smaller kitchen table if there is overflow.

Let me know the date well in advance, though, so I can put in a memo request and get it to the correct approval authority (read: woman).

Hmm, I don't think this is a requirement. Although you should join us anyway since you like to play poker and we'll be playing it.

If you could bring black felt and the Waffle cardmod too, that'd ease the transition. I almost forget what live poker is.

I'm game for this. I could also possibly host (San Jose) and I could also possibly get my hands on a full size table if another is needed.

Let's start passing some dates around.

Yeah, let's start throwing dates out there. The latter part of March is the last half of the of the World Poker Challenge in Reno (a WPT event) and I want to see if I can get my name on CardPlayer.com again this year.

Too soon in my opinion. It usually takes many weeks for this to shake out and get all the participants needed and also for them to put on their calendar. The more lead time, the better things are as people often have a couple weeks planned in advanced. It should be in March, probably March 11th earliest. I also need to talk with the prospective host (probably Sossman at this point) to shake out other small details, PM people, collect e-mail addresses, and make the Evite to see who exactly will show.

I shall send PMs this weekend asking for some details.

pretty new to the forum. i have been lurking here for the last few weeks. i'd like to get in on this poker game.

SATURDAY MARCH 4TH

I can host on Saturday March 4th.

Everyone who is interested please send me a PM with your email address and I will set up an Evite. Depending on the # of players, we may need someone to bring another poker table (I have one hold'em table that will fit 10 and a kitchen table that will fit 6 or 7, but i would prefer another real table).

I think we should start around 4pm with a Ping Pong tourney, followed by a $50 NL Hold'em tourney, followed by a $.50/$1 NL Cash Game, followed by me calling a taxi for all you drunk fukers.

I'm interested if it is in March depending on date. I'm flying back from Nice, France getting in to SFO around noon on the 4th. I think I'll likely be too tired to play on the 4th date.

Fremont is a good central location.

I'm interested, waiting to see what dates are going to wash out here. I am pretty much open. End of Feb., early March seems like a good lead time.
