Live@TB Blues

Is anyone else having problems getting the archives to start? Today (Tuesday) it's not been working for me. I've tried it on three different machines with two different connectons that have all worked in the past with no luck. I can get the video blog and the relatively short promo. I can also get the list of archives. But when I want to view an archive a new window is launched and the viewer appears, but that's it.

Anyone else having this problem?

It's not working for me either, I'll send an email to see what's going on.

Live at the Bike owes their members at least a partial credit. One week after they go subscription they take two weeks off and all hell breaks loose with the archives. That ain't right. Glad I waited.

Yeah a partial refund would be nice - not sure if we will see it happen though

It's working for me but it takes awhile.
You have to repeatedly hit the play button, they may have a problem with a recall service or mount?

Yes ! I have been trying to get ANY of the archived shows to work... I keep getting an error - with a file not found message.
I wrote a email to their contact still no response. What gives ? I'm not feeling very good about my subscription fee right now....

Try logging out, then logging back in and see if that helps.

In this case it MUST be operator error.

The archives seem to be down, but before this I had your problem with no viewer showing in Firefox. I tried it through IE and it worked.

Yeah. It looks like the site has become IExplorer-specific.

Re: Live@TB Blues

I think I found something to try on the archives.

In the mms link to the file, if you replace the securewm.vitalstreamcdn.com with 69.88.131.17 it might work.

For those that don't know how, if you right-click on the player and choose properties you'll and copy the location. It will look like mms://securewm.vitalstreamcdn.com/se...
Paste that in your browser like a webpage and do what I did above to make it like mms://69.88.131.17/se...

Maybe someone more technical than I can explain this. I tried pinging securewm.vitalstreamcdn.com and the first time it resolved to 69.88.131.17 and all 4 packets got through. I tried it again and it resolved to 69.88.152.12. With that IP all 4 packets timed out. Why would it resolve to a different IP within 30 seconds? That seems to be the root of the problem.

Can anybody get the "Las Vegas Gaming Life Expo" shows to work?

Not working for me either. Are the archives back and working?

Anyways, live shows do return tomorrow and they better be some good ones to make up for the past 10 days or so.

Just saw an article on Digg that Firefox 1.5.0.5 (the last release) had a problem with the Windows Media Player plugin. Version 1.5.0.6 has just been released which fixes the problem with the viewer. It doesn't help fix the problem that the archives are down though

I'm really bugged by their failure to respond on any level - in these forums, to emails, or to their "If you are having problems during the broadcast, click here" option - I've tried all, but nary a response from them....

Kevmath, thanks for your reply in another thread - you are their best advocate!!

Lousy way to go to a pay-to-view operation!!!!

It doesn't say much that I'm able to help some people better than they can. They're setting up the table/equipment today so hopefully the archives will be back tomorrow as well. I emailed Eveliene yesterday about the archives but haven't heard back from her yet.

Way to jump on the "For $14.95 I expect a full month's worth of shows and not two weeks worth of shows with a week's worth of filler that I can't improve my game with" bandwagon.

LaTB folks - it's not a FREE service anymore - I'd be thinking twice about going dark for 2 weeks at a whim in the future when people are paying you for a month's worth of shows.

Re: Live@TB Blues

The archives don't work for me either - I just end up with a white screen in the viewer. I'm very upset about paying the subscription then having the show go off the air for 2 weeks and the archives are down.

It cracks me up to hear Bart rant about his 5K screw up then he turns arounds and screws us! If LATB has any sense of customer service they will waive our August subscription fees.

Yes, they're going to back tonight, since Legends is starting today.

Re: Live@TB Blues

Yooooooooooooo...I am having problems and it is driving me nuts. I have sent an email to support, but they never get back to me and I also checked my bank statement and they did charge me for august. So that isn't the problem! I thought I was losing my mind! I really don't know what to do? Are they still in the "dark" I thought it was only for a week.

sabaka95 08-03-2006 06:34 PM

Re: Live@TB Blues

Yeah me too. The trouble is they should not be charging for August. This is a lot of BS anyway. When it was optional to pay, at least when I paid for archives I could watch them. They can come up with whatever story they want but they owe all of us a half month credit for this stuff.
One other thing...usually you require people to pay after all the bugs are worked out and there is actually responsible people to answer emails.
But hey I guess I am like everybody else. I like the show so I put up with getting the shaft sometimes.

Re: Live@TB Blues

It'll be interesting to see what game they have tonight. Last August it was all $500NL or higher games all month long, but this year (I believe) is the first year the WSOP ME overlaps with the start of the Legends tournaments.

The tourney tonight is a $200NL event that starts at 4:15.

I have been a subscriber to LATB archives for about a year now. I have sent about 10-12 email to LATB support with questions about the shows and one very important billing problem. How many replies have I received? ZERO
