Hand vs Prahlad in the BIG game
 

WSOP side game.

There was some action pre and I led out on the flop. Without a pause, Prahlad stood up, pulled out his schlong, dropped some rhymes, and raised. Now, I was pretty sure I had the best hand, (probably the nuts but I hadn’t looked at my cards yet) but if a guy with that kind of weaponry takes you deep out of position, you won’t like the results. And I tell ya, results are everything in this game. Leave that variance [censored] to the stat geeks. At this level, you only need to see 2 or 3 hands to know who is who’s bitch.

A lot of you guys probably think you’re hot shots beating the 25/50 on the net but this is a whole different game. Take all you thought you knew about Poker - pot odds, hand reading, game theory, flushes beating straights – and leave it at the door because all that Sklansky crap will get you hurt when you play for real money. If you want to be the man, you’ve got to play the man when you go man to man. Most of the time we don’t even bother dealing any cards. In real poker you just know when someone has the goods.

You can't teach this game but I'll give you one bit of advice that might just give you a shot. If the going gets tough you just put your hand in your pants and if you like what you find then put your chips in the middle. That's what Doyle means when he talks about playing by feel.

i'm out. zero cards + 10 successful small to medium pot bluffs = 35k chips. flush under flush and another big cooler v maniac brings me back down to 9k. more card deadness and my 11th attempt at a bluff brings me to bustooooooootown

great, without 10 tables to play maybe your add will kick in and I can actually win. Also, has anyone ever wired money to TS before, any problems that I should know about?

After playing some of the best poker I think I've ever played, July was completely break-even the whole way, until the last 2 days where I finally managed to end it on an official -5k note. Ugh. I'm so done with that month.

I was out in three hours. Took 5K off a guy 2nd hand. Then somebody rivered a higher set against me (I paid off for 3500 when I knew I was beat), then I flopped broadway against broadway with a flush redraw which hit on the turn (got lucky: he check/called the flop, checked the turn, I raised his river bet because I thought he had a made hand on the flop, so then folded to his push).

Chipped down to 6K, and lost with JQ against TT on J93 flop (I had a good table image [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img])

Also I'm sure I'm not the biggest winner at 25/50. Full ring is dumb and party is rigged, so the two combine to make it unbeatable.

I know I haven't asked for much this year... But

PARTY. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add 25/50 (6max) and NO DP tables or at least punish those who abuse the DP feature by sending all the money back to the player who betted if it's a blatant abuse.
