So for my 5k post I figure the only way I'll get to 6k is if I have one of these threads, lol, [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]. Seriously though, I've thought about doing a thread like this in the past and I'm in the right frame of mind atm to do one.

Good starting topcis to ask questions about:
Anything STTF, poker (concepts or actual hands or anything really), basketball, social dynamics, philosophy, palmistry, movies, life, etc.

I was having a PM discussion earlier that got me thinking about some of these issues, so here's a question for you:

What is the purpose of moral philosophy? Should its concern be setting an ideal to aspire to, or a more practical level of morality that a person who is good but not saintly might attain?

Also, please choose 10 STTF posters and estimate the circumference of their e-penises. Thanks.

In that order.

More recently I have distanced myself from caring about 1 team and care more about the actual sport itself (mainly basketball). I root more for specific exciting players and teams given the context of the season and whatever.

Well these are two completely separate things one may discuss/study/etc. Most academic philosophers concern themselves with an "ideal" moral philosophy. Then they generally will examine how this affects actual moral philosophy and theory. Without going into anything, I believe that psychology and physiology play an important role in constructing a congruent and practical moral philosophy. So if I were to choose to study this issue in more depth from an academic standpoint I'd look there too.

I'm going to go by length b/c I have no idea what the circumference of a somewhat average penis is to compare to. This is off the top of my head and has more to do with how they seem to discuss themselves. To get much deeper is tough b/c you are a complex dude who has a great silliness about you but also has a way of communicating that is enjoyable and entertaining and may definitely be taken seriously.
