ANYBODY ELSE HAVE STARTING DAYS CHANGED???
 

Okay so here's the deal, I am extremly pissed off at this situation. I qualified way back in the begining of May and recieved my OFFICIAL RECIEPT FROM HARRAH'S with START DAY OF 1D. So I go on make plan's which I am now obligated to and the all of a sudden I check my E-Mail today. Guess what I find a reciept from Harrah's exactly identical to the first one I recieved with a START DAY OF 1A ????!!!!!!
So the ME being so close I immediatly email them back and am told my Start Day is now 1A!!!! Even though back in May I recieved my email receipt from Harrahs 2 months ago with a start day of 1D. WTF is this. They tell me that the first one they sent was the day I was probobly gonna start on. Even though it has no mention of this and states exactly "Your Start Day is DAY 1D" Now I am extremley pissed and am awaiting another email from them. Is there anything I can do about this??? As I have made plans which I am financially obligated to because to me it was pretty much set in stone that my Day was 1D.

Send them a copy of the original email. Also, get whichever site you qualified through involved.

They sent me emails giving my starting days as 1A and 1B at the same time. I've been told it's 1B, but will confirm when I check in with them just to be sure.

I just received another confirmation for day 1A, they sent me a confirmation for 1B about a good week ago... While i'm pissed off at them changing the days with so short notice, this won't be a problem as i'm already here.

Don't you know it is your fault that you were originally given a day, and that that day is now booked, and it is better for Harrahs to give you another day???

How dare you complain that your flight will now have to be changed, and your cost, and hotel, at your cost, and loss of vacation time with your employer, at your cost!!!

That's disgusting. If the OP got the same confirmation email that the rest of us likely did, we can all confirm that NOWHERE in the email did it say that was the day we would *probably* get. If the OP's story is legit, and I have no reason to believe it isn't, Harrah's sucks for the following reasons:

1) Allowing players to choose their own days - this isn't necessarily an egregious problem, except that...
2) What seems to have happened is that Harrah's did not monitor the registration; one day (in this case, 1A) is now severely under-populated, necessitating day-changes for those who were ALREADY CONFIRMED to start on other days.

Holy crap.. With the number of idiots (IQ >80) heading towards the WSOP with mixed up starting dates, this has the potential of disaster written all over it..

I can just see about 700 people showing up on day 1D and finding out they were suppose to play on day 1A and they aren't allowed to play in it.

LVPD Riot Squad better be on high alert.

why they let anyone choose thier starting day is beyond me.
since the early ones got to choose and the late ones get screwed.

Well after numerous emails, I got an email stating that my day has been changed back to DAY 1D.
I was pretty pissed off at this whole situation 3 DAYS B4 the tourny my day gets changed WTF
I suggest everyone confirm their starting days before Day 1A as they seem to be a bunch of idiots.And just to confirm the emails I recieved here they are...check the dates

Then after numerous nasty emails tro them i recieved this one stating my day was changed back, WTF is up with this people

Your day has been changed back. Since the playing field has been
leveled out, we have reopened the other days and was able to accommodate
you to Day 4. The reason for the days to be closed was to bring the
playing field level so we did not have one day with more players than
the other. Day 1 was the one that did not have enough players in it and
we were forced into registering people to that day so the numbers were
brought up.

Now that the fields have been leveled, we were able to reopen the other
days.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I talked to a guy tonight who just arrived from Australia thinking he was starting Day 1C and found out they switched him to 1A. He is rolling with it but would have liked to get over the lack of sleep and jet lag before playing.

I predict that there will be at least a handful of players (possibly more) who arrive on day 1B or later as they were originally told...only to learn that they were blinded out on day 1a.

This should make for great entertainment.

decent point.

Nevada Gaming Commission could come down pretty tough on Harrah's if many players get screwed by changing start-days.

I would think there could be a few lawsuits thrown in there as well (assuming that one can sue over a casino screwing you in such a way, which I am guessing is possible)

The idea was to get it straightened out.
Not pay a lawyer $8000 to get your $10000 refunded.

no i meant the full tilt online qualifiers, the ones cp lists in green. they don't have any listed for day 1d either.
and they have Minh Nguyen listed as playing today.
