Meh, very unexciting. First round 1 is about to fire up and looks like it will cap out at 10k ppl.

It will probably have less entrants after the freeplayers have used their tickets.

Dealer: FunkiMunki finished the tournament in 9999th place

so rigged.

rigged because you couldn't hit your goal of going out in 10000th? you got 2nd though, isn't that enough? and in this game, 2nd place money is the same as first place money!

Re: Pokerstars $2.5 Million Dollar Freeroll (???)

it's not about the money, it's about the pride. 9999th is cool and all, but it's just not the same.

The Event is named after poker legend Chris Moneymaker.
It sounds like how the other poster described. Probably not worth the time.

The more I thik about it the more I really hate this promotion.

Hopefully stars will realize their mistake and change it ASAP. If the Round 1's keep filling up the value of a round 2 seat will be 10k FPPs, which seems nuts, considering it's another freeroll to a freeroll.

Party did something similar for the WSOP, but at least their 50 seat freeroll was actually free, and they capped the entrants at 3500 (or maybe 5k?).

Is there a cap on the number of seats in Round 2?

What a bad beat. I wanted to push the first hand, didn't notice the screen popped out and it was folded to me. I pushed the 2nd hand and won. WTF?

i counted 32 sats paying 50 each, for a "cap" of 1600, being that it will be exactly 1600

I just looked and there are 5 Round 3's (one a month). So it's going to be 1600 in all 5 of them?

Would this be correct?

Round 1 - 10,000 entrants - 50 winners
Round 2 - 1600 entrants - 320 winners
Round 3 - xxxx entrants - 120 winners

Re: Pokerstars $2.5 Million Dollar Freeroll (???)

yeah, except round 3 will be 4x320 entrants (once a week) for 1280 entrants, and only 5-6 winners (for 27 total in the live event). The round 3s also give other prizes though, namely pca seats to 6-9 and cash to the top 80.

seems like the really really hard part of this is winning round 1. Winning round 2 should be actually quite easy, assuming standard satellite incompetence, which in fact should be magnified by the fact that it will be full of people who play freerolls. I wouldn't be surprised if you could fold in from the start, heh. Winning an actual seat in the round 3 will also be pretty difficult, since only 5-6 out 1280 get one. But round 1 will be infinitely harder than round 2.

I think I'll just sign up for Round 1 whenever I see it going, sit out for the first hour or so, and then try to get lucky.

You know, because Gigabet would really care about a freeroll. Really. Yeah.

I think there meight be less players in the coming round 3's because the one tomorrow has lots of player who qualified using their free tickets..
