Dominating hands getting cracked. Desperate pushes called by crap and losing.

today was the first day in a long time i played sngs for fun and i realized why i dont like playing them

if you get cold decked once the blinds increase past 200/400 to 400/800 you are dead

i must have played around 20 or so $11's and HU $11's but i honest to god couldnt beat stupid donkeys that would hit everything against me. utg limps, i push 4k from bb with 99 at 200/400 blinds. he instacalls with kjo and turns a jack. down to 240ish and knocked out the next hand! awesome!

well..given what you have said here, I'd say the more likely reason you don't like them is that you don't do well in them, and the reason for that is that you clearly have no clue what you are doing. Being cold-decked is actually pretty insignificant when the blinds are high.

lol, i dont like them because i know i can make more money grinding it out playing cash games than sitting around and having to fold 83o, 92o and j2o for an entire tournament and then getting KK in the bb and having it folded around, FUN

i used to grind donkaments before i switched over to cash games and had something like a 40%ish ITM. i havent kept records from that time but you can probably find some padded stats on pokerprophecy or whatever

Streak sucked, but I just hit the better side of variance. Three 1st place finishes, 2 of them heads up against 2+2er Wolfram. I had to suck out on them with K4 vs. AK, and the like, but hey I'll take it!
