Never, I played freerolls for like 2 months, won $100, and never looked back.

Mine was around the same time, but I don't know the date. Early 2000. I deposited using my credit card (was actually a debit credit). I played a 2/4 and 3/6 holdem and stud on Paradise and Planet. The games where very tight. They were fairly tough because the only people playing online were serious poker players and because most people played much smaller online than they did live (live 80/160 players played 20/40, live 10/20 players played 3/6, etc). But a lot of people were weak/ tight and even though they knew how to following the starting hand chart from some book, had no idea what to do after that a lot of the time and you could steal a lot of pots just by betting at them. Against the right people, I would complete from the SB with almost any two cards preflop vs. one limper because so often the flop would come something like K82r and I would bet and no one would call.

I remember when Paradise invtented the Sit N Go (did anyone else have them earlier?) . As far as I know, it was the first tournament of any kind available online (at that time tournament poker was pretty unpopular) and they only had limit (because there was no big bet of any kind online and no real demand for it). They would only run them for a few hours twice a day since they were mainly a promotional thing and they wanted people to play the ring games (the vig on the tournaments was the same as today, $5+1, $10+1, $20+2 up to $100+9.

At that time nobody (at least nobody that I knew) multitabled or even thought of doing it. Paradise let you have two tables open at once, which I used only when changing out of one game and into another.

Whenever Casino Coco (where I met the mister [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img])became Planet Poker and went live for pay. I remember having to send them a cancelled check for verification and we did some kind of electronic check.

$200 on Party in Februrary 2004. $300 more in $100 increments over the next two weeks. Since then I've never deposited again except for bonuses and I've been playing full-time-ish for about 60% of the time since then (other 40% I wasn't playing poker due to school or other distractions).

No. I have played real money for over a year. I just never had to deposit. There are ways to get a free stake online, freerolls being the most obvious.

it was just before the $1m MTT that they ran late last year so of course, me being slightly stupid, i deposited $400 more and entered it.....didnt i only cash in it for $1700 and havent looked back since [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img] (except for not playing there anymore once i discovered other sites)

after i burned through hundreds at ring games i switched over to the sngs bc my roll would last much longer.

as for mutlitabling, well, i did it and so did all my friends and all 10 of us were losing players.

January 25th, 2002. Paradise $50 via PayPal. I remember checking Paypal constantly the next few days when I cashed out $50 profit. Cashing out in the early days was always that way for me, when will I get the money!

about 2001 without checking my records. about 900 bucks on the credit card until they stopped that. then paypal. it took me along time to figure out i sucked. now i just suck less. had to deposit again for the first time in yrs due to running bad and had expenses i couldnt cover unless i used some of the roll.

Nov 04.....$50 and I think it was a CC. Built it $200 running good playing SnG's and then ran bad for 3 days, It was all gone in 2 weeks. Realized I didn't have a clue, bought and read TOP (wrong book for a beginner, but better than nothing) Redeposited another $50 in Dec 04 moved to LHE and never looked back.

Nov 04 - £20 Will Hill (because I knew I could absolutely trust them). Debit Card. Played £5 limit sit n goes. Software really sucked then.

Cashed out 10 days later for £120 and put $50 into each of Party and Paradise (again Debit Card). Busted out at Party. Won at Paradise. Again all $5 limit SnG's. Party gave me $20 free bonus that they would take away in 10 days unless I played so many raked ring hands. Played Limit SnG's with it. Won $100 by the time I paid back the $20.

Got neteller and PokerTracker and played 500+ $5 SnG's before switching to Ring.

No more deposits - just under $10k up now spread across about 15 sites..if only I could play more than about 8 hrs/week.. sigh

In 2001/early 2002 as I was burning out at my old job I started playing a ridiculous amount of play money at PokerRoom and wishing I had never stoppped playing B&M poker for a living-which I still regret to this day. I took 6 years off between playing B&M in 1995 and 1996 to online in late 2002. I had already started playing late in life and could have used those 6 years to develop as a much better player.

I deposited money to the The Highlands probably circa 2001/early 2002 ..cant remember exactly...lost my roll about a G in one sitting of $20-40 short LHE. ..got smoked badly... I then deposited at Paradise and lost there playing too high as well. I remember The Highlands tiltfest getting reckless with some rock heads-up with AQ and he had AK and ace flopped then getting cold-decked a few more hands and disappearing poof into cyberspace busted. I had been used to crappy mindlessly easy to beat $10-20 $15-30 LHE games in Atlantic City.

The Highlands was a real sshithole. Me, 2 props and 2 sharks in 1 game on the whole site-not smart [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
