55 flop spot
I watched my friend play this hand and I was at a loss on what to do on the flop. All options seems slightly appealing to me. Its a 15/30 (6 handed) online game that is juicy where pretty much everybody can be regarded as loose and passive.
Anyway, CO limps, hero raises on the button with 55, both blinds call, and now CO 3 bets, everyone calls. CO is a goofball so the 3-bet doesn't mean much. Flop: Q 9 3 rainbow. Checked to the 3-bettor who bets, hero...? |
Re: 55 flop spot
I dont see much point in raising, you prolly are behind and even if by some mircale you arent, the loose passives arent folding for 2 bets on a board like this. I call tho cuz I think the pot is big enough

fold.

Re: 55 flop spot
I peel one off.

Re: 55 flop spot
I would fold the flop, and I wouldnt iso with 55 if the players in the blinds are loose, just overlimp.

[ QUOTE ] i fold reverse implied odds [/ QUOTE ] you have implied odds here, not reverse implied odds [/ QUOTE ] ah, i was thinking of this hand from the point of are we ahead, not from pot odds to catch up. I guess I could see peeling one and folding turn unimproved |
Re: 55 flop spot
I guess this isn't as close to a raise as I initially thought. What if we has 1010, or, if only one of the blinds called. Are you guys raising yet?

Re: 55 flop spot
Preflop: In a game such as the one you describe, I think making an isolation raise with 55 is a mistake. Since he's unlikely to knock anybody out, there's really no point to putting in more money preflop. Since CO is a likely limp/raiser, I think it makes this play even worse.
Flop: I would fold here. The pot could easily get raised behind him if one of the blinds flopped something nice, he doesn't have the odds to try to spike a 5, and even if he's ahead he must dodge a host of overcards. Just my opinion... |
Re: 55 flop spot
Peel.

Re: 55 flop spot
Preflop is closer to a limp than a raise.
I think this is an easy flop fold (a peel wouldn't be as wrong as a raise) |
