I thought the show was a huge dissappointment.

Re: Chapelle show Lost episode

It was decent, but not great. I used to joke about 2pac accidentally putting current references in songs, so the last skit was pretty funny to me. The hip-hop news skit was really funny.

Re: Chapelle show Lost episode

I disagree, I thought the hip hop news skit was the WORST part

everything else was pretty funny

Tupac sketch ftw

I had to describe to someone the episode tonight and the more I thought about it, the 2pac thing was pretty damn funny. Still wasn't impressed about the rest though.

Re: Chapelle show Lost episode

Hip hop news was mildly amusing, good thing it was short. The first skit about how everyone raises the price on Dave was a little weak. The revenge skit started out lame for the same reason, but was awesome at the end, especially when he punts the baby for no reason. The Tupac skit was very funny.

All in all, yes it was weaker than the last seasons, but we knew that. I was pretty pleased and def. laughing towards the end.

funny stuff. it was good enough in my opinion. i'm glad they held it off for so long, cuz then i got to lower my standards about it.

i liked the "where's dave?" "africa" "AFRICA AFRICA?" "I'm broke biatch!"

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. It's his show and if he didn't want it seen, people should respect his decision.

His show? Comedy Central paid for the show. If anything it's lame that Chapelle bailed on his contract and all the people that work on "his show."

Hey Fin geniuses,

I understand Comedy Central paid for his show etc. I'm talking about a fantasy world where artistic integrity is recognized. Obviously they are going to show it and try to milk him for everything it is worth. Thank you for the lesson on contracts though.

The episode was decent. I definiely laughed. Charlie Murphy and the other dude were ok hosts - no dave - but i didn't expect them to be either.

All and all, I'm glad they aired them and I hope the best is yet to come.

Didn't that one white guy come up with the premise for most of the skits? I heard that somewhere, so that could be way off.

Neal? Chapelle is the creator of the show but they both wrote a lot of the sketches.

hilarious.

the tupac skit was funny. the part about george w. smith or whatever running for city council in oakland cracked me up. then they took it to another level with the girl and the doodoo stain on the back of her shirt.

Yeah the George W part was hilarious lol. I've just rewatched that like 4 times and laugh harder and harder. The lyrics were "I wrote this song a long time ago! this was the dopest song I ever wrote! in 94! what can a nigga do! when half the country voted for George Double U! then the look on his face was just priceless lol.
