A New Direction

Hi all,

A few days ago, I resigned a few of my responsibilities to Two Plus Two and decided to stop participating in the forum.

I wrote a little thing for my website, www.notedpokerauthority.com, describing what's up with me and why I made this change. It appears in the bottom-right section of the main page.

Since I won't be posting here, I decided to move my updates/news to my webpage. I plan to start a blog there, once I figure out how to install the software and get RSS to work, so you guys can stay updated on the latest no limit book project.

Feel free to contact me with anything, but please do so via email at [email protected] . PMs will probably be lost in space.

I'll see you around,
Ed

Good luck Ed. I learned a great deal from SSHE and have a great deal of respect for the work you've done and look forward to the work yet to come. I hope that this change brings you happiness and success.

The new books sounds great and we wish you nothing but the best.

Good luck, Ed. The work you and other 2+2 posters and writers did let me support myself for a year on poker.

Also, I'll be disappointed if OOT doesn't mine some drama from this.

Ed,

Best of luck with the new book and your continued future success. I hope that you will be able to rejoin the forum in some capacity at some point in the not so distant future.

Luck is the residual of design.

Good Luck, E&E.

Relax and read a good non-poker book.

Farewell.....

Majorkong was and always will be one of my favorite posters. I still remember ,what I think was the beginnins of SS holdem, your post about not folding so damn much in big pot hands and the great discussion which followed.

best wishes,

NC

I think its a shame that the forums have deteriorated to such an extent to drive a quality poster like Ed away.

I know, I know, he went to spend time with his family etc. but the recent issues must of contributed.

The same argument could be made for everyone who felt the need to ban/exile Elaine were taking OOT too seriously.

The strategy forums are supposed to be more important than OOT. 2+2 magazine should be more important than OOT. It seems kind of silly for a 2+2 writer to abandon the forums because his girl was labeled a "troll" by the OOT community. But who knows, maybe he didn't have any choice.

KaneKungFu123 07-14-2006 01:43 AM

Re: A New Direction

And if Elaine being banned from OOT is that big of a deal to Ed, than why doesn't Mason just go ahead and reinstate her with a firm warning?

OOT shouldn't control the 2+2 forums as much as it seems to.

Re: A New Direction

Glad to hear your embracing a 2 volume system. I always hated posts that went "we have so much information, we have to whittle it down to fit into one book". More books!!!!!!
