I would fold pf, don't know if that's right.

As played I would check/fold flop. With the 3 limpers, I would count on at least one having a pocket pair 55 or bigger.

I wouldn't call this unless I was very sure of my postflop skills, and even then...you need to check/fold this flop or put out a feeler bet, open-pushing seems like a bad idea. If getting 9-1 is the correct odds, surely thats only for 2 pair, trips or a flush.

You need to get out of this mindset in these tourneys especially given the way you played this hand. If you can play it very tight after the flop its not so bad. You need at least two pair on the flop to continue.

I know the books say take those odds pre-flop but in an SnG my chips are worth more to me than speculating here. I'm folding and saving my chips for a push first in.

I'd call with any PP and play for set value. JJ+ I push. Any non-pocket hand thats good enough to be played here is good enough to push. I'd say AJs+, AQo+.

Is calling with your stack and 3 callers correct in any situation like this? I would be looking to push here with premium hands only. Otherwise, easy fold.

Fold pf, pot odds are only a minor part of this consideration. I honestly think a push is better than a complete here (but fold is better). Justification:

You're costing yourself a lot more than 100 here, since what you really want is to double up, repeatedly, and after 2 doubles you'll be missing 400 you could've had.

Your stack size is too small, and the pot is too big, to give you any room to maneuver postflop. That's why you got in as much trouble as you did.



Postflop, whenever I see a flop like that, I fear the low pps. People love to limp low-mid pps, even in the late game when they shouldn't. And they'll call your all-in with an overpair, too.

Yeah.. call with PPs that you're not pushing. Everything else is push/fold.
