Re: \"Official\" WSOP Event #5: $2500 6-Handed NL
About 800 starters today. My starting table was super soft, and I cruised up to 6000 within the first hour. I then continued my unpleasant tradition of losing with aces, getting 4000 all in preflop against 44, who flopped a four. Frikkin wonderful. Sammy Farha made a brief stay at our table before busting. I was later moved to a table with Paul Darden where nothing of particular note happened. Finally, I was moved to a new table with Seidel and Todd Brunson. I won a big coinflip with QQ to get up to about 15000, then Seidel and Richard Brodie slapped me around and I reached the dinner break (along with about 130 others) with 5100 in chips, at 200-400/50. I got up to about 6200, then lost an all in with ATs vs KQ and was busted in about 120th or so (as best I could tell).
At the dinner break, I saw stevepa, MLG, and colson. Our conversation was like steve: I have about 15K and my table is awesome MLG: I have about 28K and my table is awesome colson: I have about 18K and my table is awesome Punker: I have 5K and Seidel is making me his bitch Negreanu has an absolutely monstrous monstrous stack. The FT of Rizen's event has been really rowdy, some 72 vs AA hand was all anyone was talking about. |
Re: \"Official\" WSOP Event #5: $2500 6-Handed NL
Uh oh.
I don't see Mike, Gavin or Jason on the chip count anymore and Carl has been eliminated. Anyone with any info? Regards, Woodguy |
Re: \"Official\" WSOP Event #5: $2500 6-Handed NL
According to Cardplayer,
Micheal in 33rd with 16k Gavin in 37th with 15.4k Jason out |
Vanessa Rousso: Penalty for discussing hand?
From Card Player Updates: Seat 6 raises pre-flop to $5,000, and is re-raised by Vanessa Rousso, who makes it $15,000 to go. The player in seat 6 thinks about the call for a long time before Rousso calls clock on him. While seat 6 is thinking Rousso tells him "I have A-K." Seat 6 finally folds, and Rousso wasn't lying as she flips over AK.
TDA Rules #34: Players, whether in the hand or not, may not discuss the hands until the action is complete. Players are obligated to protect the other players in the tournament at all times. Discussing cards discarded or hand possibilities is not allowed. A penalty may be given for discussion of hands during the play. |
Re: Vanessa Rousso: Penalty for discussing hand?
Clearly warrants a 15 minute topless penalty.

Re: Vanessa Rousso: Penalty for discussing hand?
Sat Jul 01 00:07:00 PDT 2006 Gavin Gavin Gavin From the small blind Gavin Smith raises to $3,000. Joe Tehan calls from the big blind and the flop comes 10spade10club8diamond. Smith bets $6,700, Tehan re-raises $8,100 more. Smith re-raises to $20,000 total, quickly called by Tehan. The turn brings the 3heart. Smith checks, Tehan fires out $15,000 and Smith calls. The river is the Jheart. Smith checks as does Tehan and Smith turns over 5club5diamond. Tehan mucks his hand and pocket 5's takes down the pot. Smith is at $120,000. nice. |
Re: Vanessa Rousso: Penalty for discussing hand?
