Well yes, but 9/11 or the 2000 election are so obviously going to be at the top of the list (prob. along w/ the Clinton scandal) that there's no point in mentioning them.

How is this a question mark? Both of those were huge news. Yeah, they happened abroad, but the US was involved so I think they count as domestic news.
