Share your player stats at the stars $60 turbos
 

I play the $60 turbos, and was directed to the 2 plus 2 STT forum from another website. Who have you noticed as a good player or a frequent multi-tabler at this level?

funkimunki

bluefeet

Just to name a few. Anyone else have these players noted? Do you have the same reads on them?

There was a previous thread on this were alot of 2+2ers reveal there ids on the Stars turboes. I cannot remember the list but if you search for it you will find. Alot of us play the $27 and $60 on Stars if we are gonna play on Stars.

I play the stars $60s and $27s but only from about 9 pm to 12 am PST. I'm a part time player and maybe get about 7-10 SNGs in per night. I'm waiting for my sample size to get a bit larger before I start calculating anything.

The people I usually see (this is from memory as I'm at work) are

Melchiades
SpagMump
Meracer
Durron957
Deleuzisme
(the tigers)...I think tigerrite?

That's all I can name from memory. I tend to avoid more than 3 "regulars" per SNG.

I don't play much on Stars anymore but I'll go through my notes file and list some regulars from the 60 turbos:

Deleuzisme (too tight)
lambchopdc
Rockymv (too tight)
me_nemo
SadNess
TheGrrrr... (starcraft player X'Ds~Grrr...)
Nazgul18 (starcraft player Liquid`Nazgul)
FunkiMunki (pretty solid, has good MTT results too)

"Rekrul" also used to frequent the 60's a lot. He's another pretty well known Starcraft player who switched to poker and plays high-stakes NL... I'm pretty sure it wasn't Rekrul himself playing.. must've been one of his proteges because he was horrible.

If you ever decide to move up, there are some big names who play the 105+9's, like gank and Purr of Aces.. I'd definitely try to avoid them.

Excuse me for hijacking but what is Starcraft and why should I be concerned if a Starcraft player is playing poker?

I played EverQuest for 5 years prior to poker. I feel that just makes me a dork, not be feared lol.

I've never played with anyone on this besides Deleuzisme and FunkiMunki... FunkiMunki spitecalled me with 44 in a blind confrontation once (WE WERE ABOUT 3 DEEPER THAN OUR HAND SUZZER, so be quiet... I don't push any two in the SB and I had A7o) and Deleuzisme I've played with twice once he busted with AA the other time with KK.

Starcraft was (and still is) the best RTS game ever created. To be successful at it, you have to have a knack when it comes to strategy, patterns, instinct and a myriad of other qualities that also apply to poker. You also have to be able to click very fast, which helps a ton when multi-tabling. Some other pros that made the transition are ElkY, TillerMaN and TerrenceChan's new roommate ilnp/mockturtle. Gosh I sound like such a poker gossip freak.

Naz were all over the place a few times when i was playing the 16's, found it a bit weird considering he played 10/20 NL cash at the same time. Why play STT's with buy in less than a BB in your regular game?

I can't decide if FRITTS is any good. And eripro kept winning at a bunch of my tables but juries out on him too. I have an old note on him that says "pb-er". Can't figure out what that means for the life of me. Any ideas?

I'm a little disappointed not to make the list. Guess I need to play more and remove all doubt.

Yea, I also forgot to mention that SC players are able to sit in front of a computer and put in longgggg hours playing a game they enjoy. 24+ hour sessions even.

Yeah, the other day FRITTS open-limped from the button, lvl 1, SB completed, I raised to T100 with KQs. He pushed. I thought for a while and called, half for information, I really didn't have him limping with a monster. He had 66, I won the race. I'm sure it was a bad play on my part, but fun. Apparently he's had his chat revoked, feels weird playing against him all the time when we can't ever talk.

Btw did anyone else have the weekend of their lives? I think PS is gettin good. I'm seeing some crazy stuff at the $60s. Also I won a couple 18x$109s, those'll help your BR. Those things have been like an ATM machine for me when they get going. Why am I saying this???

While playing Everquest I once camped a Mob for 57 hours striaght. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] It as a cycled time spawn.

My girl was pretty pissed. Woman shheesh will they ever understand.

EQ player, WOW players or any other MMORP I think can understand.

When I play poker my roomate just refers to me as the machine.

Meta-game stuff is pretty subjective. I guarantee you FRITTS is going to think twice before pushing over my BB raise with a low PP again. You of all people should know there's more than one way to skin a cat, Durron. I certainly have some leaks, but I don't suck. Unless I'm just on a several month +variance heater or something. We'll see.
