The Official King of the Zoo NLHE Rebuy Thread - PW inside

KotZ resumes tonight with $10+1 NLHE rebuy! It's on Stars as usual at 9PM ET.

I apologize for not getting the password out to the mailing list this week. I completely forgot. I will get it out later this afternoon. Unfortunatly, I cannot access my email account from work

So I'll just post the password here now: anotherrebuy2

Last year's rebuy event was extremely wild with a top prize of over $1K. I hope you all can attend.

Any chance of the standings getting updated? The website is 3 or 4 tournaments behind.

someone should really try to let stealthmonk know.(i think that was his name - it might have been stealthmunk) I don't think he's a 2p2er but it sure made for a good show last time there was a rebuy. (at least I think it was the last rebuy.)

It's stealthmunk in my records, you have a good memory. He must have spent $300-350 on that event, maybe more. Pushed every single hand in the rebuy period.

Ok, I screwed up this week. Looks like the turnout will be affected by my gaffe on the emailed password. It just went out now, I hope it's not too late.

Yeah, no idea who he is, but glad he came.

21 entries, 155 rebuys!! Still 20 minutes left in rebuy. 'nuff said.

wow, what a roller coaster.

Congrats to macattack4 for coming in first.

I managed 2nd, and felt fortunate to make it that far.

I was at the first table with Nick, who was going all in every single hand and then rebuying if he lost. It seemed like a golden opportunity to accumulate some chips.

Sadly, he managed to spew chips in every direction except mine most of the time. In 11 confrontations, almost always with a 60% or better preflop, I only won 3 times. I figured that my luck would change sooner or later, so I kept rebuying. Eventually I went in for $171. Nick had to have made 40 or more rebuys, I'm not exaggerating.

After the break, when I realized that only 3 places where getting paid, I started to think that it was money not so well spent.

Somehow I managed to survive longer than many of the folks who got so many chips early, mostly from some good luck in key spots.

Mac had a big chip lead on me when we got H/U, and really did a good job of not letting me off the hook. I thought I might have a shot with AQ allin when he turned over A7, but he got not 1, but 2 sevens to finish me off. Guess that I can't get lucky all the time.

again, thanks to all who participated and congrats to Mac.

I feel fortunate to have won. I was chip leader with 9 players left, having done a pretty good job of accumulating chips at the short-handed table. I then had the suckout of all suckouts. I flop a set against two opponents (MattSuspect and Ghazban) on a monotone board. Unfortunately, my hand was third best in that Matt had the flush and Ghazban had a higher set. At the time, they both had Top 4 stacks. I then turn the 1 outer for quads. That gave me a huge lead and I was able to win from there. The most meaningful luck I have had at a tournament, hands down.
