Sorry this is long. I had only played in 3 hands prior to this. 1st hand AK doubled up. 2nd hand is a massive dumb ass move because I haven't been attacking enough lately get knocked down to 250. 3rd hand AK raises me to 750. This is the next hand after AK.

Let's forget 2nd hand. I was a dummy. Let's say I got to this point legitimately. Was it an awful move? I think it was correct. Please tell me what yall think.

I don't mind opinions if then they are willing to go on further but the guy told me to go play some free rolls and come back when I was better.

Its amazing what people will say about an open push.

I was down to about 4BB a couple of weeks ago and open pushed with Q8s from MP. Flop came QQ8 and after the hand this guy (who wasn't even in the hand) went mental - "he went all-in with Q8, what an idiot" yada yada. Kept it up for ages.

When people at your table criticise a blatantly +EV move then it just adds to the +EV ness.

I think with the blinds so high compared to your chip stack you have no choice but to push here. You may not get a better chance &amp; it's very unlikely that you can fold into the money here.

In a similiar situation I once was berated/asked why I pushed some marginal hand.

I simply replied, "If you don't understand, good for me."

But the ""How I made a million dollars railing $5 sit and gos." comment is better.

party doesn't have as many table coaches IMO...when I play at stars the chat box is always filled with "in depth" criticisms and strategy..with such revolutionary topics such as pot odds and implied odds [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

I was in a fast blind sng and was down to an M around 3 with 6 left and a very tight table. I open pushed Q4 off suit from the cu and got called by AA. The guy with AA said in a smart ass way, "you went all in with that?" Like he was some sort of poker expert.

I've had this happen many times when I'm short stacked and have to make a stand. I love gettin berated when I make a standard move from guys playing the 11 sngs or small stakes tourneys.

Good push, your stack size dictates your play. The idiot who criticize your move probably wanted to limp with a small pair and hit his set if he did play the hand. Given that you had ATo, it pissed him off to see you get taken out by 98s.
