Pulp Fiction, The Bonnie Situation from the car ride surpise on to the junk yard. That's a string of scenes really, but it's just immaculate. I almost died when Jules asked Jimmy what flavor the coffee was.

"Damn, Jimmy, this is some serious gourmet [censored]. Me and Vicent woulda been fine with some freeze-dried tasters choice, but he springs this serious gourmet [censored] on us...[insert look of geniune curiousity]what flavor is this?"

The opening scene is pretty killer as well. Great showcase for The Rock's action and acting talent.

You know what is interesting about American Beauty. All three times it cuts from Annette Benning to Spacey after Spacey quits his job, a classic rock song plays.

Yeah it was:

American Woman when it cuts to Spacey driving in the car.
All Right Now by Free when it cuts from her, after she gets dumped by the Real Estate King, to him lifting weights.
I believe they have Dylan's version of Watchtower when she opens the door to the garage to find him lifting.

And The Who's "Seeker" plays when he begins his final day running down the street.

The top one Conan is praying to Crom and tells him to go to hell if he's not listening. The bottom one is the scene after he is rescued from the tree of woe and contemplates the truth to the answer of the riddle of steal.

There was this kid I grew up with; he was a couple of years older than me, and sort of looked up to me, you know. We did our first work together, worked our way out of the street. Things were good and we made the most of it. During prohibition, we ran molasses up to Canada and made a fortune; your father too. I guess as much as anyone, I loved him and trusted him.

My Left Foot-- Restaurant scene.

In the Name of the Father-- Tribute to Guiseppe.

Crimes and Misdemeanors-- Passover scene.

Quiz Show-- Scene where Charles Van Doren tells his father he cheated.

The Godfather, part II-- Birthday flashback.

Andrei Rublev-- Borisha ringing the bell which, as far as I'm concerned, is the best scene ever filmed.

Funny you should say that, but I was gonna say the opening scene in Butch and Sundance where Sundance is peeved and Butch tells the guy to 'just ask him to stay'. Redford is magnificent in it by barely doing anything, and yet so many forget this scene cos the rest of the movie is so jolly.

That fist scene isn't Dead Poets Society, it's School Ties isn't it? Why do you like that scene so much?

As for my favorite scene, probably where Sonny beats the living hell out of Carlo in GF1

Nah, that's from Dead Poet's Society. No Brendan Frasier, Chris O'Donnell or Matt Damon in sight.

I stand corrected. The tininess of the pic led me to believe that the guy on the left was Brendan Fraser, and I missed the fact that they are in fact standing on desks.

"The point is, ladies and gentleman, that greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right, greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind."

In a River Runs Through It, when Brad Pitt breaks from his father's technique and uses his own method of fly-casting. He then hooks into a monster and the fish takes him for the ride of his life down the river. His whole character explained in one simple but magnificent scene.
