Borgata Summer Open
 

Wasn't sure if this was right place to put this post (since it's not a WPT sponsored tourney). But I was wondering how many 2+2ers out there are gonna play in any of the events. I think I might play one of the 300 NLHE events. Also, a word of advice - those interested in the lower buy-in events might want to register online. I made the mistake during the Winter Open of not registering online nor preregistering, so I ended up playing cash games at the Taj.

I'm planning to play in the 1k stud event at the very least and may check out other events as well.

wish i could make it. already planned a trip to vegas. if i had known a few months ago about it, would've changed my vegas plans.

i would like to play in one of the 2 smaller NLHE events, the lowest are $500, the $300 is with re-buys.

They don't plan on it I don't think...I think they are planning on three tourneys per day including weekends and want to take some of the higher stud games away from the Taj...

As for the open I'm playing PLO and the limit event

I'll be there 7-9th to play the NLHE tourneys, and possibly back on the 12th if I can get the day off for the PLO tournament. There was a 1/2 plo game at the Taj last weekend, hopefully that will go again.

I was at the borgata this afternoon. They're starting to take some of the tables out for some reason.

They are recycling the old tables in the new room by adding the shuffle masters. We might start to see tables with shuffle masters before the new room opens. Prior to opening day they will be operating 2 rooms at the same time in order to facilitate the move. At least this is how it was explained to me.

Poker rate invitation only this summer
 

Hi,

Just called the Borgata to get a room at poker rate (midweek!) for the open and they said it would only be invitation only till september and that I should get some kinf of invitation by mail at the end of june...

I got mine this week. I've only played poker with my card there a couple of times, my guess is if you've ever logged any hours with your player card in the poker room you'll get one. If not, call Borgata and request an invite. (It's just one of those laminate flyer/mailer things)
