Another 25-50 hand

6 handed 25-50 game on UB.

Villain in this hand is sitting to my left and has been playing back at me a few times, never to a showdown.

I raise 175 with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]in the cutoff, button (villain) calls, both blinds fold.

Flop comes J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Pot is 425. I bet the pot, he calls.

Turn comes 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I check, he checks behind me.

River comes A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I bet $1000...

Plus if you check you can induce a bluff.

I don't mind a river bet at all. Why do people think he is going to bluff or has bluffing hands in his range after just calling the flop and checking the turn behind on a drawless board? It looks like he is trying to take a K or J to showdown, I like betting.

I think this is pretty standard.

Really? Weaker aces don't call? Hell, I think KQish hands might call trying to pick off a bluff..

I like the bet.

Huh? Could you explain a bit?

I think he means that you likely bet too much to get called by a weaker hand.

The problem is this is UB, and a smaller bet might get autoraised if u have always been potting it, so I think potting it here is ok.

This looks routine to me.

I feel it's very likely that you are ahead and that he has a made hand that will check behind if you check.
